The Chase is on for Betcom
Betcom, part of the highly successful Gauselmann Group of UK facing gaming brands will be showing two Cat C products at EAG both of which are licensed from the creators of popular television quiz shows Deal Or No Deal and The Chase.
Utilising popular licensed themes to create a strong gaming proposition is a valuable tactic as Simon McCarthy, Managing Director of Betcom, outlined: âTypically a great licence will be a theme or brand that gives the game a recognisable and familiar walk up factorâ he said. âAs well as being familiar and popular it helps if the programme is linked to winning a monetary prize which is the case with both Deal Or No Deal and The Chase. The licence must also represent a good âfit’ with the entertainment theme and as a result enhance the player experience.
âHowever, at at the end of the day itâs the players’ acceptance of the theme as well as the core game elements which will determine whether a product is successful or not. The market can be certain that Betcom product comes from a solid base line with our player profiles performing model after model.”
Being part of the Gauselmann Group, Betcom is able to draw on the insight and experience of its sister companies in this case having access to those licenses which have already been successful within the digital arena and which therefore can be profitably incorporated into Betcom’s bricks and mortar portfolio. âOf course itâs a massive help being part of a broader very successful Group and one which clearly benefits our customers,â stated McCarthy.
“The current range including our pipeline for 2020 covers four different profiles. We look to offer a mix and match of profiles in order to deliver full operator flexibility when injecting new models.”
As well as Deal Or No Deal, which was one of the best selling models of 2019 a success which helped Betcom to grow its market share, year-on-year, the company will also be showing The Chase â Head to Head, which represents a new profile as a strategic initiative to help grow the player base.

Additionally, Casino Guru Academy has introduced an upgraded version of its website to make course navigation easier, increase accessibility, and provide a more engaging experience. The new layout also creates a path for future development as the Academy broadens its course library.
With that said, a new course on responses to self-harm and suicide threats is in the works and should be released by the end of the year. Itâs intended for customer support agents and responsible gambling representatives to recognize players in distress, respond to potential self-harm threats, and take action.

Esports Nations Cup Confirms New Official Publishing Partners

Chess.com, MOONTON Games, and SNK join the ENC alongside Electronic Arts, Krafton, Tencent, and Ubisoft, to strengthen the foundation of the worldâs first international, nation-based competition at this scale
The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) announced the addition of Chess.com, MOONTON Games and SNK for the inaugural Esports Nations Cup (ENC), a landmark tournament where the best esports players in the world will compete for the honor of representing their countries. The ENC introduces national pride to the global esports stage in a recurring format and is the first event of its kind at this scale.
Chess.com, MOONTON Games and SNK join as Official Publishers, alongside Founding Publishers and video game companies EA, Krafton, Tencent, and Ubisoft â the core partners developing the foundational structure of the ENC â bringing with them their iconic titles, global reach, and player communities to enhance the first Esports Nations Cup.
The three new publishers and all forthcoming Official Publishers will co-design qualification paths and competition formats for their respective titles â ensuring integrity, competitive relevance, and a consistent global structure.
The EWCF and its Founding Publishers continue to co-develop the ENC to establish the tournamentâs foundational framework, structure, and format from inception, representing a deeper level of strategic partnership and commitment than other publishers.

As the newest addition to the EWCF portfolio, the Esports Nations Cup builds on the momentum of the Esports World Cup â the worldâs largest multi-title esports event â and extends its mission to a new layer of global competition. While the Esports World Cup unites the best clubs, the ENC unlocks a new frontier powered by national identity and regional representation.
The ENC will feature national teams from all major regions â including North America, South America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Oceania â competing in both team-based and solo-player formats. A multi-layered qualification model will balance competitiveness and inclusivity: combining global rankings, regional qualifiers, and wildcard entries, including solidarity placements, to ensure a broad and representative competitive stage in every game.
The Esports Nations Cup will debut in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in November 2026, before moving to a rotating host model, bringing national esports teams to fans and cultures worldwide. Held every two years, the ENC will provide a dependable structure for players and esports organisations, encouraging long-term investment in national team programmes.
