Veikkaus Extends its Partnership with the NHL
Veikkaus is the official partner of the world’s largest ice hockey league, the NHL in Finland. With the newly signed partnership, Veikkaus will feature comprehensive NHL content on its channels.
Veikkaus has a long-standing, successful and comprehensive partnership with Finnish ice hockey. With this new agreement, Veikkaus’ extensive ice hockey content offering will expand even further to cover the NHL games played in the US and Canada.
“The NHL is the second most popular league in Veikkaus’ Betting, just after the domestic Liiga, based on the number of customers. With this sought-after NHL partnership, we can now bring even more official content from the world’s top ice hockey league to our channels. There is a strong demand for our NHL content, and it’s great that we can continue to provide it to our customers and other ice hockey enthusiasts in Finland during the 2024–2026 seasons,” Tuomo Torkkola, Partnership Manager of Veikkaus, said.
“We are thrilled with our partnership extension with Veikkaus. Together, we are committed to delivery content and access to our hockey fans in Finland. It is exciting to extend our partnership in advance of the 2024 NHL Global Series Finland, which will feature some of the biggest NHL Finnish stars in front of a hometown audience in Tampere,” said Joseph Stravato, Director of Business Development at NHL.
With the newly signed partnership, Veikkaus’ channels will gain even more high-quality and engaging NHL sports content, which is of great interest to Veikkaus’ Finnish customers.
“Finns play big and visible roles in several NHL clubs, which interests our customers. Ice hockey is a very important sport for Veikkaus, and this collaboration expands our comprehensive ice hockey offerings even further. The NHL is a meaningful league with a number of Finnish stars for many of Veikkaus’ customers. For example, videos showcasing the best Finnish moments in the NHL have been popular on our site,” Tuomo Torkkola said.
The partnership agreement between Veikkaus and the NHL covers the 2024–2026 seasons.
During the 2024–2025 season, VeikkausTV will also broadcast over 700 live NHL games alongside betting opportunities through a separate agreement. NHL games will be available on VeikkausTV throughout both the regular-season and the playoffs.
Watching Veikkaus’ live stream broadcasts is free for logged-in Veikkaus customers. However, the user must have a positive account balance or an active bet on the selected match to access the streams.
