Pariplay partners with Valiant Comics for heart-thumping gameplay in latest slot offering

Pariplay Ltd., a gaming technology company serving iGaming operators, land-based casinos and lotteries, has partnered with Valiant Comics in launching Bloodshot: Rising Spirit, an online slot based on the legendary character of the same name. Players will embark on a pulse-pounding adventure, enjoying explosive special features like Expanding Walking Wilds, Rising Spirit Free Spins, Desert Storm Free Spins and Valley of Death Free Spins.

Players are immediately immersed into Bloodshot’s world with an introduction taken straight from the famous comic book. Car crashes, explosions and an intense soundtrack dominate the background in this 3-row, 5-reel slot designed to get players’ heart rates soaring. Joining Bloodshot, the red-eyed former soldier with superhero-like abilities, players will be eager to grab their tactical gear and jump into action to shoot down major wins.

An adrenaline-pumping game, the Expanding Walking Wild feature activates when the red Killshot marker lands on Bloodshot. Once marked, Bloodshot expands over the entire reel shifting left in subsequent spins and granting players dynamite winning combinations.

Gaming Corps has secured a conditional iGaming supplier licence from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC), positioning the studio for launch in Alberta’s regulated market from day one.

Granted through its subsidiary Gaming Corps Malta Ltd, the licence allows the company to manufacture and supply gaming software in the Canadian province ahead of the market opening on 13 July 2026.

With approval now secured, Gaming Corps continues to accelerate its North American expansion strategy while strengthening its position in regulated markets.

The move gives operators in Alberta access to Gaming Corps’ portfolio of casino games and proprietary game mechanics as the province prepares to open its regulated iGaming framework.

Alex Lorimer, COO at Gaming Corps said: “Securing our Alberta licence marks another important step in Gaming Corps’ regulated market expansion strategy. Canada continues to represent a key growth region for us, and we’re excited to bring our expanding portfolio of games and unique mechanics to operators and players in Alberta.”

Alberta is set to become Canada’s second regulated open iGaming market, following Ontario, with the AGLC overseeing licensing and compliance requirements for operators and suppliers.

PokerStars will launch a new run of PokerStars Big Game on Tour episodes on May 17, with Jason Koon, Shaun Deeb and Matt Berkey set to headline the line-up. The series will air on the PokerStars YouTube channel, with weekly episodes through June 14.

The cast for the new instalment also includes MMA fighter Sean O’Malley and high-stakes cash game player Randy ‘3Coin’ Sadler, according to the company. The episodes follow the Big Game format, featuring No Limit Hold’em cash game play.

PokerStars said the season’s ‘Loose Cannon’ will be Canadian operations manager Andy Taylor, who will be staked $50,000 and will keep any profit made at the table. The company described Taylor as running a property maintenance company and, with his wife, a non-for-profit organisation focused on supporting young athletes in Toronto.

A teaser for the new episodes aired during the livestream of the €100,000 High Rollers Invitational at PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Monte Carlo, which featured Koon. PokerStars noted Koon “took home €1,000,000” from the event.

Release schedule: May 17 (Episode 1), May 24 (Episode 2), May 31 (Episode 3), June 7 (Episode 4), and June 14 (Episode 5).
