Spotlight Sports Group and Betfair Exchange announce new partnership ahead of Cheltenham

Spotlight Sports Group, the home of highly successful brands in the sports betting world, including Racing Post, have announced a new partnership with the Betfair Exchange.
The partnership sees the launch of the new show ‘Racing Post Live’ covering the biggest horseracing festivals throughout the calendar year.
Kicking off with the upcoming Cheltenham Festival, the new show combines Spotlight Sports Group and Betfair Exchange experts with some special guests to offer live and real-time insight, tips and reaction for every day of Cheltenham.
Speaking about the new partnership, Spotlight Sports Group digital marketing director, Gethin Evans, discussed the group’s growing digital voice: “We are very excited to work on this innovative video proposition in partnership with the marketing team at Betfair.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity for us as digital publishers, for Betfair as a real-time exchange education platform and for the sport of horseracing to get a true digital share of voice across our group, including the Racing Post and MyRacing channels. We have a great mix of in-house talent and external guests to provide live insight at major racedays and have some fun at the same time.”
The new show will run throughout the flat and jumps season, covering more than 42 live racedays and producing several Betfair Exchange educational videos.
Harry Phillips, Betfair head of UK&I brand marketing, spoke about the opportunity Betfair now have to reach and educate a new audience through Spotlight Sports Group channels.
“We are constantly looking for scalable ways to reach qualified digital audiences, and we are delighted to be working with Spotlight Sports Group to do that.
“The opportunity to partner on a pioneering live show across the biggest horseracing festivals is something that will help build awareness and education of the Betfair Exchange product.
“We are working with the Spotlight Sports Group in-house production team to produce a true made- for-platform watch along for horseracing, which we hope drives further engagement in the sport going forward.”
