North Star Network to Provide In-Depth Coverage of Leading Brazilian Football Clubs with a String of Partnerships
North Star Network, the sports and gaming media group, has added to its growing stable of brands by partnering with seven fan websites dedicated to the biggest football clubs in Brazil.
These websites combined possess traffic of more than 28 million visitors per month and will allow North Star Network to bring more news, rumors, predictions and analysis as the 2023 Brazilian football season kicks into gear.
The list of websites being added to the portfolio includes NotíciasDoMengao .com.br, which covers current South American champions Flamengo, as well as PortalDoPalmeirense .com.br, serving fans of Brazilian domestic champions Palmeiras.
Also, among the teams involved are former world champions Corinthians (NoticiasDoTimao .com.br) and São Paulo (PortalDoSaoPaulino .com.br) as well as 2013 South American champions Atlético Mineiro (PortalDoAtleticano .com.br) and Cruzeiro (PortalCruzeirense .com.br), a team owned by former player and Brazilian football legend Ronaldo. Meanwhile, PortalDosTimes .com.br will keep fans up-to-date on all the important football news across the country.
This follows the recent purchase of Brazilian basketball website LakersBrasil .com, as North Star Network strives to connect with sports fans in Brazil and provide them with first-class insight into their favorite teams.
“We are delighted to bring fans of Brazilian football in-depth coverage from one of football’s most significant nations,” the Chief Executive Officer for North Star Network, Julien Josset, said. “Our aim is to become a leading reference point for sports fans, and with seven websites covering some of the largest football clubs in the country, we will have the perfect chance to do that, bringing fans the best possible coverage of the league and their team.”

Betano Renews Sponsorship with Atlético Mineiro
Betano has renewed its sponsorship agreement with Atlético Mineiro. As per the agreement, the online betting site continues to appear on the team’s shirt until the end of 2024.
Alexandre Fonseca, Country Manager of Betano in Brazil, said: “The renewal is a source of joy and pride, since it marks the continuation of a partnership that was very successful last year.
“The new contract also shows in the market the intentions of Betano in Brazil to seek long-term contracts and alliances.”
Currently, 19 of the 20 teams that compete in the league hold sponsorship arrangements with gaming companies, whilst nine of them have agreements with sports betting houses – with the exception of the current Copa Libertadores champion, Palmeiras.
Sérgio Batista Coelho, President of the club, said: “This sponsorship renewal with Betano is a very special moment for Atlético. We have a very successful partnership, it was in 2021 and now it is renewed. El Galo is proud to continue with Betano and we look forward to new achievements in this cycle.”

Betano Launches Atlético Mineiro NFT Collection
Betano has unveiled a new exciting non-fungible token collection in collaboration with Atlético Mineiro from the Brazilian soccer championship.
The whole collection will consist of a total of around 50 NFTs which will be divided into three different tiers according to their content.
The first tier, “The Betano effect,” is a unique NFT that offers the owner a full day in Atlético’s training facilities, a training session with some of the players, a one-year Atlético membership, official jerseys, and much more. This unique NFT is not for sale and will be awarded to a Betano member upon successfully completing a mission.
The second tier “Golden Edition” includes four NFTs to be auctioned over a 7-day period with a minimum bid of US$5.000, offering the winners flight tickets to Brazil and meet-and-greet with members of the team, among other things.
The last “Silver Edition” tier comprises 50 digital collectibles to be sold at US$200 fixed price, giving access to personalized videos by the players, official merchandise, and more.
“We are thrilled that Atlético Mineiro, the Betano team, has won both the Brazilian Championship and Cup and wanted to offer something unique to our customers to celebrate this fantastic moment. The NFT collection unlocking physical experiences marks a first in the online gaming industry, but also a first for our customers in Brazil. We are continuously working to level up the online gaming experience and this innovation is only one of the many that will follow,” said Alexandre Fonseca, Country Manager, Kaizen Gaming.
“We are very happy that through our partnership with Betano and Crypto.com we can provide a different kind of NFT collection. We see non-fungible tokens as passes that unlock experiences in the physical world and that’s what we are bringing here. Atlético has been leading the crypto movement in the Brazilian sports industry and that collection is another step that we take,” said Felipe Ribbe, Head of Innovation at Clube Atlético Mineiro.
