New report finds +21% increase in time spent gaming on Samsung TVs, and weekday time of gameplays shifts across Europe

A new report from Samsung Ads Europe ‘Behind The Screens: Gaming in 2020’, reveals Gamers* are spending more time gaming per day across Samsung TVs in EU5 territories with significant double-digit growth (+21%) since January.
Samsung Ads Europe refer to Gamers as game consoles connected to a Samsung TV that played one or more games for a minimum of three-minute session. Samsung Ads Europe, the media and advertising division of Samsung Electronics, releases its ‘Behind The Screens: How to Reach Gamers’’ report on gaming habits across EU5, looking at both localised viewership habits and behaviours across all five countries.
When exploring how the average Samsung TV Gamer spends their time, Samsung Ads Europe identified that they are heavy streamers. On average they spend 45% of their total daily TV time streaming, a further 37% spent gaming, and only 18% spent watching linear TV. The implication for advertisers trying to reach this audience is that 82% of their time spent on Samsung TVs (gaming + streaming) they are not exposed to traditional TV advertising.
The Samsung Ads report further explores how daily gaming habits have changed over the course of 2020. In the UK gamers are active throughout the day, with the most interesting change being the shift in time spent gaming on weekday mornings nearly doubling (+48%) since January 2020. Time spent gaming on weekend mornings has also increased by over a third (+34%).
Significant increase in gaming time across all EU5 territories
Total time spent on game consoles connected to a Samsung TV has seen a significant increase across EU5, with Italy seeing the highest increase since January of over 35%. Spain saw the second highest level of growth at a rate of 31%, whilst the rates of gaming increased across the UK (+22%), France (+17%) and Germany (+10%) showing that all across Europe the appetite for gaming continues to grow. In terms of time spent per day gaming on consoles connected to a Samsung TV, the UK spends the most time on average across the EU5 territories with gamers engaged for 2 hours 14 minutes per day.
Alex Hole, Vice President of Samsung Ads Europe, commented: “We are seeing a significant appetite for gaming across Europe on millions of games consoles that are connected to Samsung TVs, which is in line with the growing popularity – and commercial opportunity – of online gaming. According to Ofcom, overall total consumer expenditure on games software, gaming hardware and culture was £5.3bn in 2019. With gamers spending an increasing amount of time on their Samsung TVs either gaming or streaming, there is a sizable opportunity for advertisers to reach this hard to reach audience on the big screen, alongside linear.”
Samsung has held the global number one TV manufacturer position for 14 consecutive years, and using proprietary data gathered by Samsung ACR technology and additional proprietary data in Europe, leverages insights from over 34 million Smart TVs.

Disorder
Nolimit City delves back into the Mental series with its latest release, Disorder
														Reading Time: 4 minutes
Witness the downfall of John, a man of order, a devoted father, a loyal husband and a pillar of routine. Nolimit City’s latest release, Disorder, unearths the twisted origin story of Mental and Mental II. This highly anticipated slot falls under the extreme themed category of Nolimit City slots such as Serial and Disturbed.
Fire Frames
The Smith household looks picture-perfect, but inside, it’s anything but. Disorder plays out on a 4-3-4-3-4-3 layout across 6 reels, with 3 locked Enhancer Cells placed at the bottom of reel 2, 4 and 6. In the real area, Fire Frames will appear randomly on the reels. Any symbol that lands in a Fire Frame will split into 2 symbols. Any regular paying symbol can be split into a max of 16. If a Bonus Symbol lands within the Fire Frame, it upgrades to a Super Bonus Symbol.
Enhancer Cells
The house has some hidden secrets in the form of Enhancer Cells. They can be activated depends on the number of Fire Frames that land:
● Reel 2 Enhancer – Activates when 4 Fire Frames appear.
● Reel 2 & 4 Enhancers – Activates when 7 Fire Frames appear.
● Reel 2, 4 & 6 Enhancers – Activates when 9 Fire Frames appear.
Once the reel 6 Enhancer Cell is activated, every 2 additional Fire Frames reactivate all Enhancer Cells.
Each Enhancer Cell may reveal the following symbols:
● Molotov – Randomly selects a regular paying symbol, splits it and all its instances. Regular paying symbols can be split into a max of 16. It also converts itself into the selected symbol.
● Delusion – Randomly selects a regular paying symbol, transforms it and all its instances into the highest paying symbol present on the reels. It also converts itself into the selected symbol.
● Paranoia Multiplier – Adds a random multiplier between 1x and 999x to the win multiplier. The Multiplier applies to all wins until the end of the round. It also converts itself into a Wild Symbol.
● Nuclear Wild – Transforms all regular paying symbols on its reel into Wild Symbols. It also converts itself into a Wild Symbol.
● xBomb® – Removes all Regular paying symbols not part of a winning combination. If any instance of a winning symbol also exists on a non winning position, it will not be removed. xBomb® also converts itself to a Wild Symbol and increases the win multiplier by 1.
● Family Symbol – One of the 5 Family Symbols appears.
Features are triggered left to right except xBomb®, which triggers last.
Bonus Mode
John’s house was built with “extra rooms.” Unfortunately, they’re not for guests but for Bonus Modes. The number of spins awarded in the Bonus Modes depends on the number of symbols that trigger it. Each Bonus Symbol awards +2 Spins. Each Super Bonus Symbol awards + 3 Spins. This applies both in the spin that triggers bonus mode and during bonus mode itself. During the bonus mode, Fire Frames are more likely to appear than in the base game. Multipliers awarded in base game will not be carried over to bonus mode.
Obsessive Compulsive Spins
The first sign that John was losing his mind was the onset Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Landing 3 Bonus Symbols including at most 1 Super Bonus Symbol in the base game triggers 6+ Obsessive Compulsive Spins. Landing 2 or 3 Super Bonus Symbols during Obsessive Compulsive spins will upgrade the spins to Antisocial Personality Spins, whereas landing 4 Super Bonus Symbols will upgrade the spins to Severe Dissociative Identity spins. The win multiplier and Fire Frames reset after each spin.
Antisocial Personality Spins
The second sign was the fact that John started isolating himself, going straight to the basement every time he got home from work. Landing 3 Bonus Symbols including at most 2 Super Bonus Symbols in the base game triggers 8+ Antisocial Spins. Landing 2 Super Bonus Symbols during Antisocial Personality Spins will upgrade the spins to Severe Dissociative Spins. The win multiplier count will not reset during the Antisocial Personality Spins.
Severe Dissociative Identity Spins
The final stage of John’s transition was that he detached from reality and allowed his intrusive thoughts to take over. Landing 4 Super Bonus Symbols in the base game triggers 12+ Severe Dissociative Identity Spins. Fire Frames remain sticky on their positions and the win multiplier count will not reset during the Severe Dissociative Identity Spins.
Extra Spin
Extra Spin is back! When Antisocial Personality Spins or Severe Dissociative Identity Spins are triggered, players might get the opportunity to purchase an additional spin at the end of the round. The additional spin will keep the win multiplier and Fire Frames (if sticky) of the previous spin. The cost of the spin will be calculated based on the win multiplier and Fire Frames. If the cost of the Extra Spin is less than or equal to the total win, then the Extra Spin opportunity will be presented.
Nolimit Boosters
The rest of the Smith family are going to find out who John really is, especially with these Nolimit Boosters:
– Bonus Booster – More likely to activate a Bonus Mode.
– Fire Booster – Increased chance of landing more Fire Frames compared to the base game and more likely to activate a Bonus Mode.
– Enhancer Booster – Guaranteed 9 Fire Frames and more Fire Frames may appear in upcoming spins and more likely to activate a Bonus Mode.
A tale of a beautiful family that gets torn apart by the father completely losing his mind. Disorder has a maximum payout of 23,500x the base bet. Disorder is rated as “Extremely Volatile” delivering the thrilling high-stakes gameplay that Nolimit City fans know and love.
Per Lindheimer, Head of Product at Nolimit City, said: “If Mental was the aftermath, Disorder is the breaking point. We wanted to show the moment when everything snapped. We wanted to keep the story as cohesive as possible leaving room for people to make their own assumptions. John takes us through the different secret levels of his suburban home during the free spins. It’s not the family reunion anyone wants to attend”
‘Disorder’ will be available to all Nolimit City partners on November 4th, 2025.

Protecting African sports and regulated betting operators from match-fixing
The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) and the African iGaming Alliance (AIA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration and promote integrity across Africa’s rapidly developing sports competitions and betting markets. The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation between the two associations, each representing regulated betting operators, to support responsible and sustainable sports betting markets across the continent.
Under the terms of the MoU, IBIA will become the AIA’s strategic betting integrity partner, while AIA will act as IBIA’s primary betting policy and regulation partner for Africa. The partnership will facilitate the exchange of information, joint engagement and coordinated policy initiatives aimed at protecting consumers, regulated operators and sports from betting-related match-fixing.
Peter Emolemo Kesitilwe, CEO of AIA, commented: “Integrity is the foundation of Africa’s betting future. This partnership between the AIA and IBIA represents a decisive step towards ensuring that Africa’s growing betting industry is anchored on trust, transparency, and accountability. As a pan-African industry platform, AIA is committed to working with global integrity leaders like IBIA to harmonise standards, promote responsible gaming, and support regulators in safeguarding markets from manipulation and illicit practices. Together, we can strengthen Africa’s credibility as a world-class, igaming frontier.”
Khalid Ali, CEO of IBIA, said: “Africa represents one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing betting markets in the world. Ensuring that this growth is underpinned by robust sports betting integrity standards and effective regulation is essential. Our partnership with the African iGaming Alliance reinforces our shared commitment to supporting a sustainable, well-regulated African betting industry that safeguards consumers and sporting competitions alike.”
The partnership will enable both organisations to share insights on betting integrity, regulatory developments and policy trends across Africa. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening integrity frameworks for regulated betting operators and to fostering closer cooperation between the associations’ members.
From 2020 to Q3 2025, IBIA reported 131 suspicious betting alerts across African sporting events, primarily involving football (64) and tennis (62).
Backed by over 90 operators and 200 betting brands, IBIA safeguards sport and regulated betting markets through global monitoring, intelligence sharing and stakeholder collaboration. It monitors over 1.5 million sporting events and $300bn in bets each year. Its alerts have contributed to the successful prosecution of numerous match-fixing cases worldwide, reinforcing IBIA’s role as a trusted partner to regulators, sports and policymakers.
