WeSave! Charity Play Day 4 Results
We are still in the fight!
WeSave! Charity Play is a nonprofit Dota 2 online marathon that is taking place on March 20 – 26, 2020. 24 teams from around the globe participate in the competitive part of the marathon, including such clubs as Natus Vincere, PSG.LGD, OG, Evil Geniuses, Team Secret, and many others.
Here are the results of the competitive matches from the fourth day:

beastcoast 0 : 2 Thunder Predator
WePlay! Esports and its partners pledged a prize pool of $120,000, which, along with all the donated funds, will be equally split between CEPI and GlobalGiving to fight COVID-19. By the end of day 4, the esports community increased the prize pool to $182,668 and unlocked three fundraising milestones.
These are the milestones that have been reached:
$150,000. The winners of European and CIS brackets will play with each other.
$160,000. North American players will play a show match in a 3v3 format.
$180,000. Each final series (including EU vs CIS finals) will be played in a bo5 series instead of bo3.
Many organizations are joining WeSave! Charity Play, including betting companies such as Rivalry and betsdota2.com. A Rivalry representative gave Cyber.Sports.ru a comment:
“Rivalry as a company since launch has been focused on delivering value to the community as we are a member of that community ourselves. When the opportunity arose to participate in this important cause, like other charity efforts in the past, we immediately organized all resources to do so. We plan on being a member of the Dota scene for a long time and will always support causes like this to the best of our ability, just as we sponsor great teams and content creators!”

The Global Esports Federation at its 16th Board Meeting approved the draft program for the Los Angeles 2026 Global Esports Games, to be held in December 2026. This follows the earlier announcement of Los Angeles as host city at a major ceremony hosted by Los Angeles Times Media Group Executive Chairman & CEO Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, and El Segundo Mayor Chris Pimentel—now marking a significant milestone on the road to GEF’s flagship event in the United States.
The GEF Board also unanimously elected Paul J. Foster as President of the Global Esports Federation. Paul, who is GEF Chief Executive Officer, was appointed President ad interim following the resignation of founding President Chris Chan in July, and now assumes the role of President & CEO through December 2027.
In addition, the GEF Board approved the establishment of frameworks to develop the esports ecosystem in the United States, anchored in Los Angeles. This initiative will strengthen the GEF’s connections with stakeholders worldwide and reinforce its mission to elevate esports for all.
The outcomes of GEF 16th Board Meeting reaffirm the GEF’s role as a convening platform, uniting athletes, publishers, Member Federations, and partners to power the future of esports globally.
