Global Esports Federation Establishes Digital Transformation Commission
The Global Esports Federation (GEF) has established the new Digital Transformation Commission (DTC) to convene leading members of the world’s technology sector, bridging the understanding between gaming, esports, active esports, sport, music, entertainment and technology. The Commission is chaired by Dubai-based business leader and Vice-President of Emirates Esports, Abdulla Al Gurg.
The DTC will enhance the collective contributions of the innovative technology sector with strategic partner, the United Nations International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and other GEF’s Global Social Impact Initiatives (GSIIs).
“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to the Global Esports Federation’s community and lead the work connecting the world’s technology sector. As Chair of the forward-looking Digital Transformation Commission, we seek to bring together innovators and thinkers as we embrace a new chapter in the world’s digital transformation journey. The energy of the world’s esports community keeps us moving forward and thinking about tomorrow and beyond,” Abdulla Al Gurg said.

Play’n GO announces network-wide US release of hit title Colt Lightning Firestorm
Eagerly anticipated release now confirmed following a highly successful exclusivity period with Rush Street Interactive
Play’n GO has today announced the official US release of its hit title Colt Lightning Firestorm, following a three-week period of exclusivity with Rush Street Interactive brands BetRivers and SugarHouse.
Colt Lightning Firestorm was released in Europe and other jurisdictions in May 2024, and its release in the US comes with much fanfare following the game’s rave reviews in its short exclusivity period. The game is a sequel to the wildly popular Colt Lightning game which was released early last year, and indications at this stage suggest that this sequel may prove even more successful.
