Thunderkick completes Day of the Dead trilogy with Esqueleto Explosivo 3
Studio introduces Cluster Pays mechanic and bonus multipliers up to 1,024x
Independent slots studio Thunderkick has launched Esqueleto Explosivo 3, the latest instalment of its popular Day of the Dead-themed series that revitalises gameplay with the Cluster Pays mechanic and the highest win potential to date.
The familiar vibrant skulls are back in the latest Mexican celebration, this time occupying an expanded 5×5 grid. Thunderkick has shaken up proceedings by incorporating the Cluster Pays mechanic, with five or more matching symbols in adjacent positions forming a win.
The Cascading Wins feature has also made a return, with exploding skulls from each winning combination leaving behind a regular Wild or Explosivo Wild, the latter of which shatters symbols in a 3×3 surrounding area, paving the way for new icons to land.
As with the original and sequel, each base game win and Explosivo Wild doubles the Mucho Multiplier, while landing three scatters triggers the bonus round with an initial 10 Free Spins.
Similarly to its predecessor, during the bonus, each Explosivo Wild is collected beneath the reels, with every third that lands awarding an extra spin and removing the lowest base multiplier. However, Thunderkick has amplified the maximum multiplier from 32x to 1,024x, boosting win potential from 5,000x to 7,500x.
Esqueleto Explosivo 3 demonstrates Thunderkick’s commitment to delivering exciting gameplay, with the introduction of the Cluster Pays mechanic and enhanced win potential set to drive engagement among its most iconic series.
Mike Collins, Game Product Owner at Thunderkick, said: “Every iteration of the Esqueleto Explosivo series has been bigger and better than the last. From 32x multipliers and 700x win potential in the original to 1,024x multipliers and 7,500x win potential in the latest release, we continually strive to optimise the player experience.
“The series is undoubtedly our most successful, and we hope that Esqueleto Explosivo 3 will resonate with fans of the first two titles, as well as attract new players to Thunderkick games on behalf of our global partners.”
