Gaming Realms collaborates with the American Cancer Society to help end cancer as we know it
Gaming Realms plc, the developer and licensor of mobile focused gaming content, is pleased to announce a new collaboration with the American Cancer Society (“ACS”) to help end cancer as we know it.
1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, and more than 1.9 million new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed in the United States alone in 2022. Gaming Realms, along with their partners BetMGM, Fanduel, Draftking, BetRivers and many others, are proud to join forces in support of the American Cancer Society’s mission to end cancer through discovery, advocacy, and patient support.
In collaboration with ACS, Gaming Realms has created a new game, Slingo Gems, based on its most well-known game format Slingo. Slingo is an online single and multi-player game that combines elements of slots and bingo. From October 2022 and for the following 12 months, Gaming Realms will pay a licensing fee to American Cancer Society for the Slingo Gems game, to support American Cancer Society in their mission to free the world from cancer. To celebrate the launch of Slingo Gems for the whole month of October, GMR will pay American Cancer Society a licensing fee equal to 100% of proceeds from the new game to fund ACS’ vital cancer research.
Craig Falciglia, Director of Business Development – North America at Gaming Realms commented: “We have a shared passion in the fight against cancer and we are thrilled that our new game Slingo Gems can support this mission. Our Slingo game format is one of the world’s most well-known real money and social gaming formats and thus we hope our many loyal players globally will enjoy playing Slingo Gems and in the process raise funds to help end cancer as we know it.”
Anthony Marino, Executive Vice President for the American Cancer Society commented: “This is our first time partnering with an online real-money based wager gaming company, and we look forward to a successful and ongoing partnership. Donations raised from the partnership will help attack all cancers in countless ways.
“We are appreciative and inspired by the many ways Gaming Realms is engaging its community and together we will continue to save lives, celebrate lives and lead the fight for a world without cancer.”

FlowPlay Launches In-Game Fundraiser to Raise Funds for American Cancer Society Patient Navigation Programs
FlowPlay, creator of one of the most powerful connected gaming platforms, announced the launch of a new in-game fundraising campaign on behalf of the American Cancer Society (ACS). FlowPlay kicks off a fundraiser to support patient navigation programs, evidence-based interventions that connect cancer patients with volunteer health system navigators who can provide personalized assistance to patients, families, and caregivers, from diagnosis through survivorship. Throughout the month of October, players within FlowPlay’s flagship social casino, Vegas World, can contribute directly to ACS’s Patient Navigation efforts.
Patient navigation programs are of benefit to anyone receiving a cancer diagnosis but are particularly important for patients who experience hurdles to receiving equitable healthcare due to social, cultural, or economic barriers. Navigators include nurses, health advisors, social workers and others in the healthcare field who can help patients overcome financial, language and transportation barriers to care, improving quality of care and progressing health equity. Data shows that care provided through patient navigation programs decreases hospitalization and ICU admissions, and improves timely diagnostic follow up and adherence to screening and treatment schedules. Navigation programs provide each patient with the opportunity for customized care, ultimately helping to ensure that all patients have a fair opportunity to prevent, find, treat, and survive cancer.
“Cancer patients have faced unique clinical, social, and financial challenges in the wake of the global pandemic,” said Ryan Okita, Senior Director, Cancer Support Program Management with American Cancer Society. “We are so proud to partner with organizations such as Flowplay and their Vegas World players, allowing us to take on initiatives that can help patients overcome barriers and receive the best care for their diagnosis.
All Vegas World players will have the opportunity to donate directly to the American Cancer Society from October 3 through October 31 by purchasing a virtual in-game branded charm. A long-standing supporter of ACS, FlowPlay has raised more than $400,000 through previous campaigns, and is on track to reach half a million dollars by the end of 2022. FlowPlay also participated in the 2022 ACS Fit2Be Cancer Free Challenge, raising over $28,000 and ranking 4th in the nation and 1st in the Pacific Northwest for funds raised.
“Navigating a cancer diagnosis from insurance, medications, and getting to and from treatment can be incredibly daunting for a patient and their loved ones; having reliable and knowledgeable support to guide you through the process is invaluable,” said Derrick Morton, President and Co-Founder, FlowPlay. “I am incredibly proud of the FlowPlay community for the unwavering support they demonstrate for the American Cancer Society through various initiatives.”
ACS is committed to enhancing patient navigation programs and has awarded $4.2 million in multi-year grants to 14 health systems to enhance oncology patient navigation and address and overcome barriers to personalized, timely, and equitable access to care for cancer patients and their families. Each health system selected will receive $300,000 to fund patient navigation programs.

FlowPlay Launches In-game Fundraiser for American Cancer Society
FlowPlay, a Wind Creek Hospitality company and creator of one of the most powerful connected gaming platforms, has announced the launch of a new in-game fundraising campaign to benefit the American Cancer Society (ACS).
FlowPlay kicks off a new fundraiser to continue momentum for ACS’s work to fund cancer research, and provide programs and support for those facing a cancer diagnosis. Throughout the month, players within FlowPlay’s flagship social casino, Vegas World, can contribute directly to ACS’s Road To Recovery program, helping ensure more patients can get to their potentially lifesaving treatment through free rides.
The Road To Recovery program is at the very heart of the American Cancer Society’s work to remove barriers to accessing quality health care. People needing cancer treatment often cite transportation as a critical need – because even the best treatment can’t work if the patient can’t get there. Many patients need daily or weekly treatment, often over the course of several months, which is why the Road To Recovery program is so important. The program was paused during the COVID-19 pandemic due to public health concerns but has recently relaunched in several markets.
All Vegas World players will have the opportunity to donate directly to the American Cancer Society throughout the month of May by purchasing a virtual in-game branded charm. Through previous campaigns, FlowPlay has already raised more than $400,000 for ACS and is on track to cross half a million dollars by the end of 2022.
“Due to the pandemic, ACS has been without one of its most critical programs for the last two years. I’m honored to tap into the FlowPlay community to support the program’s relaunch. Our players never cease to amaze me with their generosity and I know this campaign will be no different,” Derrick Morton, president of FlowPlay, said.

FlowPlay Raises $65,000 for ACS Through its Vegas World In-game October Fundraising Campaign
FlowPlay has announced that it has raised an additional $65,000 for the American Cancer Society (ACS) through its Vegas World in-game October fundraising campaign. The fundraiser is part of FlowPlay’s broader corporate giving program and ongoing support for the ACS.
This follows FlowPlay’s major fundraising milestone with the ACS over the summer, lifting its total raised for the organization to $315,000. In direct support of funding critical research and patient care for childhood cancer, players within Vegas World purchased virtual ACS-branded charms throughout the month of October.
“For many in our Vegas World community, the devastating, life-altering effects of cancer are personal. It is a huge reason why we are so dedicated to supporting the ACS. I am always humbled by the stories our players share with us, and the generous support our community continues to show in the fight against cancer. Their participation in these fundraisers gives me hope that our donations will continue to make a meaningful impact for patients and families in need,” Derrick Morton, CEO of FlowPlay, said.
“The American Cancer Society is so grateful to FlowPlay and Vegas World players for helping fund our lifesaving mission. It is a critical time when cancer research funding is at risk which could mean delays in the next cancer breakthrough discovering new and better treatments and cures. Thank you for the tremendous support and helping to ensure this doesn’t happen,” Daniel Widner, ACS vice president of Regional Distinguished Partners, said.
