TrueLayer appoints former Amazon exec David Exposito as VP of EU Sales

TrueLayer, Europe’s leading open banking platform, today announces that former Amazon executive David Exposito has joined the firm in the newly created role of VP of EU Sales, where he will manage commercial operations and development, including the company’s European Country Managers.

A highly experienced commercial manager, with more than a decade working in payments and ecommerce, Madrid-based David joins TrueLayer as it continues its rapid European growth. The company recently expanded its open banking platform for data, verification and account-to-account payments with connectivity to leading banks in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland and Portugal.

“Payments are undergoing a fundamental shift, driven by changing consumer expectations, merchant demand and technologies that can deliver a better experience. Open banking is a catalyst for change with higher acceptance rates, lower fraud and instant settlement,” commented Exposito. “TrueLayer is at the forefront of that evolution and I’m excited to be on that journey as we look to change the way the world pays.”

David joins TrueLayer from Amazon where he worked for eight years across several senior positions, most recently as a EU Head overseeing physical distribution and managing multiple payments products including the firm’s EU Branded Currency Portal. Prior to that role, he was Amazon’s Head of B2B channel in France, Italy and Spain, having previously been Amazon’s Head of Corporate Partnerships in Spain where he collaborated with major brands to help them achieve their digital transformation objectives using different Amazon corporate tools.

An entrepreneur at heart, David has held senior leadership roles in multinational companies including Transcom and the European Space Agency. He is also a successful founder having built and sold AdFiedlia, a Spanish incentive portal that developed the first Facebook app for P2P gift distribution and a B2B platform for employee rewards.

Global iGaming solutions provider, WA. Technology has launched a new Sportsbook Managed Service to allow operators to improve their offering and maximise profitability through a team of industry-leading experts.

The latest service launched by the company provides sportsbooks with a more granular approach to their risk and trading strategy which will get the most out of their content, improving efficiency through improved profiling, reporting, and content management.

The team will finely analyse margins from sports, leagues, and events down to the market offering.

Available to sportsbooks around the world and compatible with any software provider via third-party technology, the aim is to achieve strong results for brands at a fraction of the price of hiring a full team.

The Sportsbook Managed Service brings a human approach to customer profiling by reducing risk exposure through rejected bet monitoring, stake factoring, and watchlist monitoring. The team will also ensure that available features are used to their full potential, including analysing cashout algorithms.

Using WA Technology’s experience of managing sportsbooks all over the world, the service targets the promotion of localised content, identifies inefficiencies or areas of concern to keep margins in line with competitors in the region, and provides regular reports and analysis to operators with changes made to strategy and the effect on performance.

The Sportsbook Managed Service has been offered to existing WA Technology platform clients for five years as part of other packages, but with increasing interest to provide this externally, this has been refined to be an individual offering to sportsbooks.

In-house, the team has managed a large number of clients across Brazil, Mexico, India, Eastern Europe, and Africa. Since launching the service, four sportsbooks have already joined and seen increased results.

The service is led by Commercial Director Dave Hickey and Risk & Trading Manager Niall Creevey, supported by a team of 24 people, with decades of experience in risk and trading, as well as operations staff who have been handpicked from tier one operators.

Cops ‘n’ Robbers Bigger Big Money™ sees the return of the beloved cop and robber duo in a high stakes adventure. Key features include the Big Money Bonus, Progressive Trail, Bonus upgrades, Reel modifiers, a gamble option and Fortune Spins.

Players will need to land three or more bonus symbols anywhere on the reels to trigger one of three Big Money bonuses, starting with a multiplier of up to 3x – the progressive trail offers multipliers up to 10x and during the bonus robber symbols act as cash collectors, accumulating swag bag values when they land.

Landing a cop or robber symbol will advance that character along the trail.
