Innovative games provider ESA Gaming has grown its team by 25 percent, after creating seven new roles to accelerate content creation and drive future growth.

The roles, all based in Belgrade, Serbia, span across several departments including software and front-end development, while a Technical Operations Manager and a Game Delivery Manager have been hired to boost the organisation.

Strengthening the team will allow ESA Gaming to swiftly enhance its games portfolio and will ensure the supplier is more robust in integrating with operator partners.

The hires come off the back of a successful year for ESA Gaming which has seen the supplier partner with several operators and entered numerous new markets. ESA launched its EasySwipe portfolio earlier this year, featuring lightweight HTML5 mobile-first games which allows players to enjoy high-quality casino games without disrupting the sports betting experience.

Zorica Smallwood, Director at ESA Gaming, said: “This has been a fantastic year for us and further growing our team is a great achievement that will see us develop more content, add bandwidth to the integration team and ensure we can expand in more regulated markets.

“We have seen great uptake of our EasySwipe portfolio over the last few months and we look forward to what the next few months have to bring as we expand the games offering.”

Gamification as a Responsible Gaming Tool in iGaming Platforms

Published

on

In iGaming products, gamification often shapes how engagement is structured. Missions, level systems, progress indicators, and challenge mechanics turn gameplay into a guided journey. As responsible gaming (RG) evolves from a compliance obligation into a product design requirement, these same mechanics are being used to make RG tools more visible and easier to use—so they feel like part of the experience rather than something hidden or separate.

In this article, Atlaslive shares its perspective on how technology can support safer, more transparent player journeys.

The Shift: RG as a Core Product Function

Responsible gaming is increasingly seen as a capability the platform must deliver effectively, not just offer in theory. Features such as limit-setting, reality checks, and session breaks are expected to be easy to find, simple to understand, and accessible without friction.

For instance, the UK Gambling Commission requires financial limits and time-based controls to be available at all times, not buried in complex navigation or hidden menus. These expectations also apply to how operators present and implement RG tools, emphasizing clarity, usability, and genuine player choice rather than a box-ticking approach to compliance.

At the same time, safer play organizations stress the value of approachable support. GambleAware materials highlight player-focused tools that help users reflect on their habits, review activity, and maintain control.

Practical Applications of Gamification in RG

Gamification becomes useful in RG when it improves the visibility and approachability of these features. Structured prompts and familiar UI elements can draw attention to tools without disrupting the player experience. Gamified elements can also provide helpful context—such as time or spend snapshots and gentle check-ins—without creating alarm or discomfort.

It also supports normalization of responsible actions. Step-by-step limit setting, clear confirmations, and neutral prompts around pauses or reality checks can frame these moments as standard parts of play rather than interruptions. In this way, gamification helps position breaks and reviews as choices, not restrictions.

What to Avoid

Gamification loses its value when it drives intensity instead of control. Mechanics that create urgency or reward extended sessions and higher spending can undermine RG goals. Problems also arise when RG tools are difficult to access—when players have to search for limits or breaks—or when messaging feels overly heavy, making support features uncomfortable to use.

In short, when applied thoughtfully, gamification helps RG tools integrate naturally into the overall product experience and supports long-term player trust.

GoldenRace’s new Hit&Win games, Arcade Heist & Fortune Fighters

In an industry that never stands still, the race for innovation is constant. GoldenRace identified a shift in player behaviour: the modern audience craves more than just a bet; they want innovation, simplicity, gamification, fun, excitement, rewards and speed.

This realisation led to the birth of a brand-new vertical designed to bridge the gap between traditional betting and casual arcade gaming: Hit&Win.

GoldenRace’s first titles in this category are Arcade Heist, which takes the concept to a whole new level by introducing the essence of gaming: a community experience; and Fortune Fighters, a combat-themed experience that brings the intensity of a tournament arena to the palm of a player’s hand.

Arcade Heist moves away from the solitary nature of traditional betting and introduces a raid mechanic. In this game, the high-stakes world of undercover robberies meets classic arcade fun, but with a revolutionary twist.

On the other hand, what sets Fortune Fighters apart is its narrative depth. Players step into the shoes of Kai, a disciplined student fighting to restore his master’s honour against the reckless and loud Brotus. By entering “The Fortune Tournament”, players participate in a quest where every strike, dodge and move is a wager. This storytelling drives long-term engagement and player loyalty, turning a standard betting session into an immersive journey.

GR8 Tech had its most impressive presence at ICE Barcelona 2026, with the Champions Club filled to capacity from start to finish each day of the event. At the conclusion of the conference, the team had arranged almost 200 qualified meetings, a 35% increase from the company’s prior record at the end of 2025.
GR8 Tech was additionally acknowledged as Best Software Supplier of the Year at the European iGaming Awards, celebrating technology that assists operators and enhances the player experience. The ULTIM8 Sportsbook received industry recognition by being nominated for Sports Platform of the Year at the first iGaming News Awards during ICE Barcelona 2026.

“ICE is where operators come with a plan,” said Sergey Ghazaryan, CRO at GR8 Tech. “And this year, the demand was strong, as our meeting calendar was full and conversations were the kind that led to next steps. Champions Club worked because it was built for important decisions: practical learning and direct discussions about how to launch faster, localise properly, and keep performance strong when it matters most. That’s what we’re bringing into 2026.”

Platform for Champions, Proven at ICE

GR8 Tech showcased Platform for Champions, giving operators a clear view of how the stack supports various launch and scaling scenarios. The biggest conversation starter was Crypto Turnkey—a new launch built for operators who want more control over payments, faster routes to market, and access to crypto-forward player demand. Across meetings, the team spoke with existing partners and new prospects about how crypto can remove PSP bottlenecks, strengthen payment uptime, and unlock higher-value segments. Turnkey conversations drew the strongest pull, accounting for around 60% of all discussions.

Champions Club, Delivering the Energy

GR8 Tech left ICE Barcelona 2026 with a full calendar of follow-ups—and a format proven to work. Champions Club kept the space in constant motion: athletes and performers on treadmills (even in heels), pad-work sessions with Lee McFarland from Behind the Gloves, and meetings completely booked.

Acceler8 Lab ran at full capacity throughout, with sessions delivered in partnership with Gaming Operations Academy. GR8 Tech experts joined industry specialists, including Scott Rowan (Bet Data Consultants) and Verónica Guerrero (ElenPAY), to cover crypto payments, sportsbook optimization, AI implementation, and more.

Evolving from the Heavyweight idea, motivated by GR8 Tech’s collaboration with Ready to Fight by Oleksandr Usyk, the Champions Club broadens its scope beyond boxing to honor performance, discipline, and championship excellence across various sports and venues. The results were driven by the format—and that’s the framework GR8 Tech will maintain until 2026.
