Playtech Live and Sony Pictures Television extend agreement for Who Wants to be a Millionaire? until 2028
Playtech, has announced a two-year extension to its exclusive agreement with Sony Pictures Television to produce Live experiences based on the iconic TV quiz show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? expanding across North America.
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? stands as a globally renowned television game show that has captivated audiences since its inception. The Playtech Live games include many of the classic Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? TV show features such as: 50/50, Ask the Audience and Ask the Host, which gives the player the chance to have incorrect answers removed based on the level of question they have reached.
Playtech previously announced a strategic five-year partnership with Sony Pictures Television to work together to bring three games of the much-loved Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? brand into the Playtech Live digital entertainment portfolio. Following the success of Live Roulette and Live Trivia, Playtech has recently introduced an exciting addition to their line-up: Video Poker Live, inspired by the popular TV show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Playtech will be developing more dedicated Millionaire branded games, network wide.
This collaboration will extend to more territories, including the U.S, Mexico, and Canada, as Playtech continues to demonstrate their commitment to capitalising on the growing potential of the North American gaming market whilst recognising the significant player base in these regions. Furthermore, this aligns seamlessly with Playtech’s overarching strategy of partnering with popular brands to deliver an unparalleled gaming experience to players.

Playtech announced the successful launch of its retail sports betting rollout across the MSC Cruises fleet. The deployment builds on a recently established partnership between the two companies earlier this year, marking Playtech’s entry into the cruise leisure sector and extends its innovative technology to a new frontier in entertainment.
As the world’s third largest cruise line and the market leader in Europe with a strong and growing presence in North America, MSC Cruises offers a powerful platform for Playtech’s global expansion into new verticals. This strategic collaboration introduces Playtech’s cutting-edge sports betting solutions to the cruise sector, enhancing the onboard entertainment experience for guests.
MSC Cruises’ onboard casinos are designed to deliver a dynamic mix of entertainment, featuring reel, video, and video poker slot machines, alongside timeless table games such as Roulette, Blackjack, Three Card Poker, and Texas Hold’em. MGM Resorts International and Technology Partner Playtech Expand “Live from Vegas” Offering with Launch of Family Feud
MGM Resorts International and Playtech announced that they have expanded the “Live from Vegas” offering with the launch of Family Feud, a licensed adaptation of Fremantle’s classic gameshow, streamed live and in real time from a studio located on MGM Grand’s casino floor in Las Vegas.
This is the first interactive game show of its kind to be broadcast live from a Las Vegas casino floor and is available to operators in regulated markets, outside of the US. The studio also broadcasts a variety of interactive table games, including blackjack, roulette, and baccarat, all hosted in a fully transparent glass studio visible to the public 24/7.
