Almighty Million Poker Tournament Coming to the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in May
The Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa is partnering with BetMGM Poker so as to run its Almighty Million high-stakes poker tournament complete with a guaranteed $1 million prize pool in May.
The Atlantic City property held its preceding The Return competition from January 4 to 8 and this contest’s $2,200 buy-in main event created a $2.6 million prize pool that was ultimately dished out via a concluding nine-way deal. The week-long Almighty Million tournament is now scheduled to begin within the 2,000-room venue’s 21,500 square feet poker room from Sunday, May 7, via $800 buy-in no-limit hold‘em Day 1 flights complete with 100,000 starting stacks.
“Almighty Million has been synonymous with Borgata Poker for nearly a decade,” Kellie DeCelis, Poker Operations Manager for the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa, said. “It’s been three years since Borgata offered this type of event as part of the Borgata Winter Open and Almighty Million is always one of the most anticipated events on the calendar that brings the same excitement with a $1 million guaranteed prize pool.”
Online registrations for the coming Almighty Million extravaganza will commence from Monday, May 1, exclusively through the BetMGM Poker app with competitors able to sign up until nine o’clock on the evening before each Day 1 flight. In-person registration for the New Jersey competition is to begin at the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa’s poker cage from Friday, May 5, while those who have utilized its unlimited re-entry facility are to be given preferential opening-day seating assignments.
Players interested in securing their Almighty Million spot at a lower cost can also check out BetMGM Poker as the site will be running a series of daily satellites for competitors in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Michigan from April 23. These events are to ultimately award their eventual winners with prize packages worth $2,000 encompassing a Day 1 seat, accommodation and $500 in online cash.
As if this wasn’t enough and BetMGM Poker will also reward the winner of its $255 buy-in Ladies Championship Event on Saturday, March 11, with an analogous Almighty Million prize package. The online poker is to additionally detail further such promotions in the coming weeks via its mobile app and its Twitter page.
“The success of online qualifiers and the fantastic response to The Return shows that players want more of these omni-channel events that connect these great brands,” Luke Staudenmaier, Poker Director for BetMGM, said. “BetMGM is excited to continue to partner with Borgata Poker to give players another chance to play at the east coast’s premier poker destination.”
