Team Spirit crowned Red Bull Flick Helsinki Champions

Red Bull Flick, the premier 2v2 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament, came to an electric finish tonight which saw Team Spirit’s ‘somedieyoung’ and ‘magixx’ crowned the champions after battling it out against PardiPoja in the epic finale. Held in front of a live audience in Helsinki Messukeskus, the event was also the first CS:GO LAN in Finland to feature a professional roster of this quality, bringing local fans a unique opportunity to see the world’s best players in action.
The Red Bull Flick Invitational Helsinki kicked off with a showcase on Saturday 20th, seeing duos of the best amateurs and the seasoned pros including G2’s ‘niKo’ and ‘huNter’ and OG’s ‘valde’ & ‘Aleksib’ go head to head in Finland’s largest convention centre. After five nail biting rounds, Team Spirit were the only professional team to survive the elimination rounds, with amateur teams DepressionDuo, doggonogog, PardiPojad, ALPARTAY, GUESS, Garnuchy and swiiiry all securing their well-deserved place in the play-offs the next day.
An epic start to the second day of the Invitational saw Finnish amateurs ardiPoja dominate the stage, defeating pro’s Team Spirit and amateur duo swiiiry to bag their spot in the Grand Final. After an impressive finish in the loser’s final against swiiiry, Team Spirit fought back to lock in their spot against PardiPoja in the Grand Final.
A clash of the ages, Red Bull Flick saw home town heroes PardiPoja and Team Spirit wow the fans with a CS:GO masterclass in the Grand Final. Keeping the crowd on the edge of their seat, it all came down to the final round where Team Spirit managed to outclass PardiPoja and secure the victory, and the title of Red Bull Flick champions.
Following the win, Boris “magixx” Vorobyev from Team Spirit commented: “In the lead up, we kept practicing and in particular kept practicing our head shots…and we did it perfectly. I think you should never let emotions control you, you need to stay focused and calm and everything should all work out”
The Red Bull Flick Helsinki Invitational was hosted by Freya Spiers, seasoned esports host and CS:GO aficionado, with veteran casters Mohan “launders” Govindasamy, Conner “Scrawny” Girvan, Anders Blume and Mathieu “Maniac” Quiquerez commentating throughout.
Having first launched in 2019 with a local event in Turkey, Red Bull Flick has grown exponentially over the past two years. Achieving over 40,000 registrations in 2020, this year’s Red Bull Flick is shaping up to be the most explosive international yet. Global esports media network BLAST also joined the event as the official production partner, bringing their incredible resume of CS:GO event organisation to Red Bull Flick.

Belatra on target with debut crash game: Goose Boom Bang

Reading Time: < 1 minute
Belatra, a leading developer of innovative online slots, has set its sights on the crash game market with the launch of its hit new game, Goose Boom Bang.
Following 30 successful years of creating outstanding slot and instant games, Belatra has turned its sights on the crash game market. Goose Boom Bang stars a fearless goose whose explosive personality takes the game to new heights. As soon as the goose takes off, the multiplier begins to climb – from 1.01x up to an incredible 1000x. The longer the goose travels, the higher the potential reward.
As the journey gathers pace, the risk increases and at any moment the goose can be stopped in his tracks by a cunning Hunter, the swift Hawk, or the sly Crocodile. The prize returns to zero as soon as the goose is stopped by one of these protagonists. Players must decide the opportune moment to call time on the goose flight, but choose when to shoot and claim the winnings.
If the shot hits the mark, the bet is multiplied by the current multiplier, and the Goose drops to the water. Game round history is displayed at the top of the screen: green indicates a win, red – shows a loss. The Goose’s flight path continues to be shown even after the round, revealing how far it could have flown and the maximum possible winning total.
Misha Voinich, Head of Business Development at Belatra, commented: “Belatra has fired the starting gun on its crash game entry, bringing its signature style of humor, dynamic gameplay, and unique atmosphere. Players have the power to choose when to stop the Goose and secure the maximum multiplier before the Hunter, Hawk, or Crocodile ends the round for them!”
