Dimitar Berbatov signs for JBO to continue his ambassadorial services
Bulgarian footballing legend embraces new rebrand from RB88 to JBO, a leading Asian eSportsbook and Sportsbook operator
Footballing icon Dimitar Berbatov has broken new ground by becoming the first official brand ambassador for JBO (Just Bet Online), the leading Asian sports betting operator.
Berbatov will spearhead this rebrand with a series of dedicated promotions and activations for the most renowned and progressive eSports and Sportsbook operator in Asia.
Regarded as perhaps the greatest Bulgarian footballer of all time, Berbatov’s engaging appeal and timeless track-record of on-field ingenuity matches perfectly with JBO’s own inventive brand values. Having played for many of the world’s most storied football teams – notably Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Bayer Leverkusen, Fulham and Monaco – Berbatov instantly connects with football fan-bases worldwide.
JBO prides itself on a rich heritage in football and international sports, with a sponsorship portfolio to match. Having successfully worked with Bologna FC in Serie A, and secured the title sponsorship of the Dota 2 eSports event at the JBO Asian Masters League, JBO is now also the official betting of Olympique de Marseille in France’s Ligue 1. Away from Europe, this established brand is also partnering with VICI Gaming, the biggest eSports organization in China.
JBO has an aggressive and ambitious expansion plan over the past 12 months, growing its global footprint into more emerging markets, empowered by the operator’s mantra to engage, educate and entertain.
A JBO spokesperson welcomed the brand’s flagship ambassador: “We’re thrilled to have Dimitar Berbatov continuing his services as JBO’s breakthrough brand ambassador. Dimitar was always a natural entertainer on the field, and both he and JBO look to achieve our goals in the most creative and enjoyable way possible. Of course, there’ll also be the chance for our customers to gain exclusive insight and analysis from one of the brightest minds in football.
“JBO intends to harness this breakout international partnership to drive awareness and participation around our brand values across both mature and developing Asian territories. We’re constantly looking for original ways to engage with our customers across digital channels and betting verticals.
“Dimitar is a dream fit for the energy and expertise that JBO is spreading across varied local markets, and allows us to raise the game for fan experiences and social traction.”
Berbatov, Bulgaria’s all-time leading goalscorer, added: “I’m happy to be continuing my services with JBO in Asia.
“As a result, I look forward to bringing some top-class content and activity to Asian markets with my trademark style and professionalism, helping fans discover new and deeper ways in which to engage with and enjoy the sports they love.”
While JBO continues to develop its online offerings for football fans around the world, this latest milestone highlights its commitment to international representation and fostering a football-friendly environment within a responsible gaming culture.
JBO prides itself on a gamified betting experience, thanks to a unique interface and personalised customer service that delivers a cohesive player journey from the log-in until the end. This seamless experience has also ensured record levels of retention and consumer satisfaction amongst its loyal base.

SAGIP—“Rescue” in Filipino—was positioned by organisers as an immediate support programme for Filipino community members navigating difficult circumstances. The session combined career coaching, counselling and wellness assessments, alongside distribution of essential grocery packs.

OS Studios names Ishaan Arya country manager to lead India expansion
OS Studios has appointed Ishaan Arya as Country Manager for India, tasking him with leading the agency’s expansion across newly established hubs in Bengaluru, New Delhi, and Mumbai. The appointment was announced on 25 June, 2026 in Bengaluru.
OS Studios, a Project Worldwide agency, said it recently entered the Indian market and will deploy its ‘Fan Z’ approach for brands looking to engage with gaming, esports and live events audiences in South Asia. The company said the expansion will leverage the infrastructure and production capabilities of sister agency George P. Johnson (GPJ) India.
“The future of gaming will be shaped by the communities that care about it most, and few markets embody that more than India,” said John Higgins, CEO of OS Studios. “To build something meaningful, you have to be part of the culture, not looking in from the outside. Ishaan understands that better than anyone. He’s exactly the kind of leader we want building the future of OS Studios in India.”
In the role, Arya will oversee operations, drive strategic brand partnerships, and scale local capabilities, according to the company. “Brands are investing heavily in Indian gaming, but true fan experience is too often an afterthought,” said Rasheed Sait, Chief Growth Officer for India and South Asia at Project Worldwide. “Alongside GPJ India’s experiential footprint, OS Studios will set a new standard for fan engagement in the region.”
Arya previously co-founded The Esports Club and most recently served as Vice President of Partnerships at Nodwin Gaming, where he led Comic Con India. “A massive gap remains between brand intent and authentic community engagement in India,” said Arya. “I’m thrilled to leverage Project Worldwide and GPJ India’s operational strength to build culture-defining experiences for brands and fans alike.”
