As an accomplished recruitment leader with extensive experience across continents – from Europe to Latin America, Africa, and Asia – Valeriia brings a global perspective on what leading companies seek in candidates today. Under her leadership, RedCore’s talent acquisition strategy continues to attract and develop exceptional professionals across tech, marketing, and fintech.

Valeriia, from your experience leading large-scale recruitment projects across international markets, what makes a CV truly stand out to top employers today?
First of all, thank you for the invitation. From my experience, what really makes a CV stand out is when candidates clearly show their results and impact. Top companies want evidence of what you achieved, not just a list of responsibilities. It’s important to include metrics or numbers – for example, not just “I managed a large team,” but “I led a team of 15 and increased results by 20%.” These details matter. Employers want to see how your experience directly helped solve problems or improved something within the company.

What are the most common mistakes candidates make when writing their CVs, and what advice would you give them to avoid these pitfalls?
This is a big topic, but in my opinion the most common mistake is that some CVs are simply too long. Hiring managers can only scan a CV briefly, so two pages, three at most, is enough. Writing a very long CV is a major mistake. Another point is simple but often overlooked: candidates really need to proofread their final draft. Small errors and little details matter because they show whether someone is attentive and pays attention to detail.
When reviewing applications at RedCore, what qualities or signals do you look for that show a candidate is ready to grow within a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment?
We mainly look for two things. The first is adaptability – people who can adjust quickly to change. The second is a genuine love of learning. We prefer hiring people with a growth mindset. How fast someone can learn new tools or approaches is very important for us, because our industry is extremely dynamic. If a person doesn’t like learning or isn’t open to new technologies, it becomes difficult to work together in such an environment.
On a CV, it helps a lot when candidates highlight this. If you started a new project, learned a new tool quickly, or solved a significant problem at work – mention it. These signals show us that you’re ready to grow with us.
RedCore is actively hiring specialists across various sectors – also C-level professionals. What can experienced candidates expect when joining your organization in terms of career growth and support?
We can talk about perks, benefits, high salaries – and of course we have all of that – but so does everyone. What I really want to highlight, especially for C-level candidates, is something different. If you look at our booth here at SiGMA Central Europe, you can see how big it is – because it houses the many brands : Mr. Booster, Frogo, PayPartners, and others. Each of these brands has its own C-level professionals, and these leaders grow inside our company.
What we offer C-level professionals is ownership and creative freedom: the opportunity to act like business owners. They can take a product from idea to market, understand what needs to be done, build the right sales strategy, and really drive the product forward. They get the freedom and responsibility of running a business, but in a comfortable environment and with minimal risk. You can focus purely on growth and vision.
And one more thing that’s very important for us: we always welcome C-level candidates to visit our booth at expos. We want to meet them, to get to know them, even if they are not actively looking for a new role right now. There are always opportunities, and we are always open to talent.

Finally, for those aspiring to join global companies like RedCore, what’s your number one piece of advice for crafting a CV that stands out and secures an interview?
Be very clear about your sector. If you work in fintech, iGaming, healthcare – mention it right away, because it immediately gives us an understanding of your background. These industries are not the same, and this context matters. The same goes for technical roles: if you’re a developer, list your full tech stack clearly. Which technologies, which tools – everything should be easy to find.
Structure and presentation are also important. It’s better to build your CV using a proper layout tool like Canva or Tilda, rather than leaving it as a plain Google Doc. Think of it like a user journey: recruiters and hiring managers should instantly know where to find the right information about you.
And finally, include a photo: a simple, professional portrait. Sometimes we see funny photos, and that’s not the impression you want to give when applying to a global company. You don’t need a studio shoot; even a phone photo taken against a white or grey wall is enough. People want to see who they might be working with in the future.

Tom Horn Gaming has been in the industry long enough to see trends come and go. From your perspective, what really separates studios that stand the test of time from those that simply chase what’s popular?
In my view, longevity in this industry comes down to balance and a genuine belief in what you do. The studios that last are those willing to experiment and try new things, while staying grounded in their core principles. It’s easy to follow trends, but what really matters is understanding players, trusting your instincts, and consistently delivering quality. When you combine creativity with discipline and a long-term mindset, you create products that resonate well beyond the latest industry buzz.
Your portfolio balances recognisable slot formats with proprietary mechanics like QuickX
. How do you decide when to innovate and when to refine what already works?
It’s always a mix of data, experience, and intuition. Innovation is important, but it should never come at the expense of clarity or player enjoyment. Sometimes the right move is to take something that already works and refine it further. At other times, the market clearly shows that players are ready for something new. Finding that balance is partly analytical and partly instinctive, built over time through a deep understanding of how players engage with games.
Your games often combine modern mechanics with very recognisable slot DNA. Why do you think familiarity still plays such a strong role in player engagement today?
Player expectations vary a lot across markets and segments. Some players prefer classic slot gameplay that feels instantly familiar, while others are looking for something more experimental. Our role is to cater to both by offering a diverse portfolio. Familiarity makes games accessible and comfortable, while modern mechanics bring fresh excitement and new layers of engagement.
Player attention spans are getting shorter, yet expectations around engagement and excitement keep rising. How do you approach game design to make titles instantly accessible without sacrificing depth?
It really comes down to putting more thought and effort into the design process. We dedicate significant resources to balancing gameplay so the core experience is easy to understand from the first spin, while sustaining engagement over time. Achieving that balance requires close collaboration among designers, mathematicians, and product teams to make sure the experience feels both intuitive and rewarding.
Looking at your recent releases, there’s a clear focus on replayability rather than one-off novelty. How important is long-term player value when developing new games?
Long-term engagement is very important, but again, it’s about balance. Not every game is built with the same objective in mind. Some are designed to deliver quick excitement, while others aim for longer sessions. A strong portfolio needs both. The key is making sure each game delivers real value and keeps players coming back.
From your perspective as a slot supplier, which innovations do you believe will genuinely shape slot development in 2026 and beyond, and which current trends are unlikely to last?
We’re already seeing a growing demand for more layered gameplay and richer feature sets, and I expect that to continue. Players are looking for more dynamic experiences rather than purely static mechanics. At the same time, fast-paced formats like crash games have gained strong traction and are influencing expectations around immediacy and interaction. That said, not every trend will last. In the end, the games that succeed will be those that combine innovation with strong fundamentals and a clear understanding of player preferences across different markets.
Your recent partnerships significantly extend distribution across Europe and Latin America while reinforcing compliance-focused delivery. How can aggregation partnerships contribute to sustainable scaling across different regulated markets?
Scaling across regulated markets requires the right partnerships and strong technical foundations. For this to work properly, the technical integration needs to be robust, seamless, and fully aligned with regulatory requirements. When that connection is well implemented and continuously optimised, it allows content to reach operators quickly while maintaining the reliability and compliance that these markets demand.

Traditional slot games, while still a vital component to any online casino lobby, are facing a demographic “cliff”. Why? Because younger, mobile-first audiences have a lower tolerance for long animations and “dead spins”.
The “boredom threshold” of modern igaming has led to a shift from a “session” economy to a “moment” economy where players demand an instant feedback loop from the games they play. Retention is no longer about how long a player stays, but how many action points they hit per minute.
While Burst Games maximise these action points, some operators I speak to are unsure what we actually mean by Burst Games, let alone how they can turbo charge acquisition and retention in the new “action” economy they find themselves competing in.
Defining the Category: What are Burst Games?
Burst Games are more than just mini-games – they are a distinct, high-performance vertical in their own right. Designed to be snackable, they provide short, snappy rounds (often under 10 seconds) that fit into the “interstitial moments” of a player’s day.
They are physics-based and lean heavily on arcade mechanics. Unlike the abstract math of a slot, Burst Games often use familiar “real world” physics making them intuitive and fair in the eyes of the player.
For example, Drop the Boss uses a drop mechanic where the main character tumbles down the gameboard, collecting Prizes and Multipliers along the way, before hitting a “Landing Zone” to determine the final round Multiplier.
This makes them incredibly intuitive and easy to learn – with no complex paytable to study and decipher, the barrier to bet is virtually zero.
Why Your Casino Lobby Needs Burst Games:
Burst Games are all about driving acquisition and retention. This is how their core game feature boost ROI and operational KPIs:
