Danske Spil Extends Long-Standing OpenBet Partnership With New Three-Year Contract

OpenBet, a leader in sports betting entertainment, has extended its long-term partnership with Danske Spil, reaffirming its position as a leading provider of sports betting technology, content and services to World Lottery Association (“WLA”) members across the globe.
The leading Danish lottery and gaming operator has renewed its trust in OpenBet, extending its existing contract to the end of 2025, with the option of an additional year included. The commitment shown by Danske Spil ensures OpenBet remains an integral partner of the lottery’s established sportsbook brand, Oddset, powering its unrivalled mobile and online sports betting platform, as well as more than 2,700 retail betting terminals across Denmark.
With this new contract extension, both companies will collaborate closely to engineer match-winning strategies for the highly regulated Danish market. Ahead of this winter’s World Cup tournament, Oddset will implement new features to assist with customer acquisition efforts, as well as access OpenBet’s premium content proposition powered by SportCast, consisting of the pioneering BetBuilder product and its pre-canned version.
This latest agreement demonstrates OpenBet as a leading sportsbook provider to lotteries worldwide, with seven WLA members currently live with its sports betting technology, content and services.
Karsten Fogh Holanng, CEO of Danske Spil, said: “OpenBet has been a valued partner of Danske Spil since 2013, and we remain extremely impressed by the company’s continued ambitions to elevate the sports betting experience.
“With this contract extension, we are in a stronger position to further evolve our online and retail offering, bringing the safest and most exciting products for bettors to enjoy. OpenBet has raised the game and we are looking forward to offering the widest range of products and markets to our loyal customer base.”
Nikos Konstakis, Chief Product Officer at OpenBet, said: “We are delighted that our long-term partner, Danske Spil, has shown its commitment to our platform technology, content and services. Denmark is one of the most competitive regulated markets in Europe and we will continue working closely with Danske Spil, the market leading lottery and gaming operator to ensure it has all the products required to differentiate itself, as well as become the operator of choice for bettors as they seek world-class betting experiences.
“Crucially, Danske Spil’s decision to trust OpenBet for a further three years reiterates why we are the leading sportsbook provider for WLA members. We are more determined than ever to work alongside lotteries to deliver quality and robust sports betting products and services.”

SHINE ON DRAGON’S DIAMONDS

This text contains puns. Reader discretion is advised.
“Dragon’s Diamonds” is now live, a fang-tastic 6×5 new scatter-pays slot from the Berlin-based developer Hölle Games with wins of up to 12,000x.
Unlike the miserly reputation they’re known for (a tall tail), the Hölle Dragon is a generous beast (with a fiery personality). With every matching cluster that lands, the Dragon will breathe flames onto the reels – removing winning symbols and allowing more to fall into place. There is no limit to the number of potential cascades that can occur here, so lucky players can quickly scale-up their hoard of wins.
Plus, hitting 4 or more scatters to enter the Free Spins will unlock the Feature Multiplier, which cumulates all Multiplier wins across the entirety of the Free Spins. Re-triggers can be clawed out too, with only 3 scatters needed.
For any players who find the base game is dragon-on, there is the Stake Boost feature, which increases the chances of hitting the Feature for a slightly higher stake, or also the option of directly entering Free Spins via the Feature Buy. That’s no fire-drill!
The game is now available for MGA with other territories winging it this way soon.
