Wizard Games gets its groove on with The Funky Boombox
NeoGames S.A subsidiary Wizard Games is turning up the volume and heading down memory lane with its latest release, The Funky Boombox.
The groovy, colourful 5×3 slot embraces the sounds of the ‘80s, offering up plenty of nostalgic fun alongside unique bonus features and mechanics for players to enjoy.
Progressive Collect Pots grow in value during the base game, being awarded when five or more Funky Boombox symbols land anywhere on the reels. The more Boombox symbols that land, the bigger the prize – and the bigger the multiplier.
When three Funky Wheel symbols land on the first, third and fifth reel, the Funky Wheel Bonus begins and awards a Funky Wheel spin, with players able to collect credits and multipliers or a progressive Collect Pot prize.
Landing three Free Spins symbols on the reels activates the Pick and Match mechanic, where choosing three matching tiles reveals up to 20 free games. Plus, any wild tiles during the bonus can substitute for other tiles and award an extra five Free Spins.
The Funky Boombox is the latest addition to Wizard Games’ growing portfolio, providing a new experience that complements recent releases such as Bring in the Fish, Thor’s Hammer Strike and Princess Celina and the Frog.
Wizard Games delivers value-driven iGaming experiences for regulated markets around the world, combining time-tested recipes with fresh, innovative ideas. The studio’s portfolio currently includes over 130 titles certified for more than 25 regulated jurisdictions in Europe, North America and Latin America.
Joey Hurtado, Managing Director at Wizard Games, said: “Players around the world have loved discovering exciting mechanics and features within our recent hit releases, so we’re thrilled to present The Funky Boombox with its variety of ways to win.
“With colourful, engaging visuals, a nostalgic ‘80s soundtrack and plenty of chances for players to land bonuses and wins with Collect Pots and the Free Spins bonus, we can’t wait to see the reception to this release.”

Olga Bajela appointed as Cherry Play CEO
A new studio enters the market with an innovative, no-revenue-share commercial model, partnering with Bragg Gaming Group for technology and distribution, and led by a former Stakelogic CCO.
Cherry Play, a new and exciting game studio, has broken cover with the appointment of Olga Bajela as Chief Executive Officer.
Bajela’s rise through the industry has been meteoric – in just four years she has gone from executive to Chief Commercial Officer of Stakelogic and now CEO of Cherry Play.
This rapid rise through the ranks has seen her pick up several industry awards including Woman Leader of the Year.
As Cherry Play CEO, Bajela has been tasked with overseeing the launch of the studio which plans to disrupt the status quo with an innovative commercial model that does away with the standard revenue share.
Instead, operators pay a licence fee to add Cherry Play’s games to their lobbies and to offer them to players.
Bajela will also be responsible for building out the management team and onboarding the industry’s brightest minds and creative talents with the studio looking to scale at pace.
Cherry Play is incredibly ambitious and will combine its unique commercial model with a portfolio of thrilling slots and casino games to not only meet but exceed operator and player expectations.
To accelerate its market entry, Cherry Play has selected Bragg, a leading global content distribution network, as its exclusive technology and distribution partner.
Cherry Play’s games are being developed on the Bragg Gaming technology stack, with two new slot titles set to launch in January, just ahead of ICE Barcelona.
Olga Bajela, CEO of Cherry Play, said: “Having helped to build and sell Stakelogic I am now ready to take on a new challenge and couldn’t be happier to have been appointed as CEO of Cherry Play.
“Innovation covers so much more than game mechanics and with our unique commercial model, I am confident we are going to disrupt the slot provision space.
“We are focused on producing two great games per month on the powerful Bragg tech stack and already have an incredible team in place who are just as passionate about entertaining players as I am.
“Cherry Play is here to make an impact, and we can’t wait to launch our first title in January.”
Matevz Mazij Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, Bragg Gaming Group commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Cherry Play as a valued partner to Bragg and look forward to a dynamic and long-lasting collaboration to deliver game-changing, localized online casino content. The Cherry Play team’s extensive experience of the Netherlands regulated market will undoubtedly benefit Bragg as we continue to expand our strong position in that market.
“Our new partnership with Cherry Play will also allow us to offer some great new online casino content not only to our Dutch operator partners, but to those operators in the wider European and RoW markets going forward. I’m excited to view the results,” Mazij added.

iGP appoints Jovana Popovic Canaki as CEO
Current Deputy CEO to step into role from Giovanni Paticchio
iGP, the prominent iGaming platform and aggregator supplier, has announced that Jovana Popovic Canaki will take up the role of CEO.
Jovana joined iGP in June 2024 as Deputy CEO and has quickly established the platform and aggregator business as a rising star in the industry.
This promotion comes after a strategic rethink and realignment for the iconic platform business. Most notably, Canaki dropped iGP’s White Label solution from its portfolio, refocusing the iGP business toward being purely B2B. In a career spanning seventeen years, Canaki has enjoyed successful tenures at the likes of Bragg and Aspire Global, where she maximized partnerships and oversaw a number of high-profile product launches. Her promotion to CEO means that Canaki is one of a handful of female CEOs of a B2B iGaming business.
Jovana Popovic Canaki, CEO at iGP, said: “I am honoured to be named CEO of iGP, and thank Giovanni for this opportunity. I’ve spent my time here getting to know and understand our operators’ needs and really believe that iGP is the business to lead and solve their problems.
“We have an extremely exciting product roadmap for 2025. We’re launching our new retail and omni-channel solution at ICE, enhancing our crypto tools after launching in 2024, and on top of this, growing momentum with new operators joining across our platform and aggregator solutions.”
Giovanni Paticchio, Chairman of iGP, added: “Jovana has spent considerable time at the start of her tenure deeply engaging with our business and used that time to create a vision for iGP that is truly inspiring.
“I can confidently hand over the reins to iGP, knowing it is in great hands with Jovana leading and implementing the strategies that will take our company to the next level and solve the growth-restricting issues so many operators face.”
