New Hampshire Lottery Joins Mega Money Jackpots

Follows multi-state eInstant record jackpot award of $5.8 million
Instant Win Gaming (IWG), a leading supplier of eInstant games to NASPL and WLA-member lotteries, congratulates the New Hampshire Lottery on joining the Company’s multi-state eInstant progressive, Mega Money Jackpots.
The New Hampshire Lottery launched Jackpot Spectacular, its first game in the Mega Money Jackpots linked progressive pool, for players in the Granite State on April 24th. New Hampshire joins Pennsylvania and Virginia in offering Mega Money Jackpots linked games.
Additionally, IWG congratulates the Virginia Lottery along with its Mega Money Jackpots player who won a record-setting $5.8 million prize. The win sets another new U.S. iLottery record for the largest eInstant prize.
Mega Money Jackpots launched in July 2023, and over the past nine months the game has created eight millionaires. Since launch, more than 240 players across the participating lotteries have won Mega and Minor jackpots totaling more than $20 million.
The amount and frequency of these prizes showcases the excitement of IWG’s Mega Money Jackpots. To achieve this, select eInstants from participating lotteries each contribute a small percentage of the sales to fund the two progressive prize tiers, with IWG administering the settlement of jackpot prize monies on a turnkey basis.
The multi-state eInstant progressive jackpot is powered by IWG’s InstantJackpots. Since all functionality is contained within IWG’s InstantRGS (remote game server), no development support is required by a lottery’s iLottery platform provider. Additionally, new lotteries can join the system regardless of their iLottery platform provider.
Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director at New Hampshire Lottery, said: “Our industry has a proud track record of collaborating across state lotteries. We’re excited to join Mega Money Jackpots and to bring the excitement of it outsized prizes to our players. We know that our contribution will further enhance the game for everyone involved, and we look forward to creating some new millionaires here in New Hampshire.”
Rhydian Fisher, CEO at IWG, said: “Kudos to the team at New Hampshire Lottery. By joining Mega Money Jackpots, collectively we can award even more million dollar prizes to lottery players. Not only is the game frequently creating new millionaires, but it has also been a leading catalyst for new player signups. Fingers crossed that some new millionaires will be created in New Hampshire very soon.”

Ghana’s NLA Introduces New Sticker to Clamp Down on Illegal Lotto Operators

The fight against illegal lotto operations in Ghana continues unabated with a major push led by the Director-General and Management of the National Lottery Authority (NLA).
On August 26, the Authority organised a press conference at Brennan Hall to re-emphasise the ongoing registration exercise for Lotto Writers under registered Private Lotto Operators, a process initially launched on September 18, 2024, under the previous leadership.
As part of the initiative, unique identification stickers are being introduced for all Writers and Agents of Private Lotto Operators (PLOs). This measure is expected to reduce illegal activities in the industry and significantly boost the Authority’s revenue.
Addressing the press, the Director-General, Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Salam, noted the growing difficulty distinguishing legitimate writers from illegal ones. He explained that the introduction of the new sticker system would firmly establish the Authority’s regulatory role. Supported by the Operations and Compliance teams, this initiative will be enforced from September 1, 2025, to clamp down on unlicensed operators.
The Executive Secretary of the Concerned Lotto Agents and Writers Association (CLAAG), Mr. Kwaku Duah, welcomed the development, stressing that it was time for Registered Operators to benefit from the fees they had paid. He further cautioned that any Agent or Writer who fails to comply with the new regulations would not receive their support when caught by the law.
The sticker will display the Agent or Writer’s name, location, phone number and payment details, among other information. A QR code generated upon payment will allow the compliance team to easily verify duly licensed operators during their visits.
Mr. Andrew Tuah, Head of Operations, added that the registration fee of GHC 250 for Lotto Writers was to be renewed annually. In addition to the sticker’s robust security features, which cannot be duplicated, he announced a nationwide sensitisation exercise for the Lotto Writers to familiarise themselves with this app.
The press conference was also attended by the Deputy Director-General, Mr. Eric Yeboah Wadie, the Public Relations Officer of CLAAG, Mr. David Agbeviadeh, members of the Executive Management, Management and Staff of the Authority.

Ukraine Prepares for Relaunch of the Lottery Market

Ukraine is in preparations for the relaunch of the lottery market. It is expected that the relaunch will bring tens of millions of hryvnias to the state budget each year. These figures were announced by the press service of the state agency PlayCity, which regulates the gambling sector.
As part of the relaunch, PlayCity, together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, developed new licensing terms for lottery operators. They define who will be able to obtain a license, what requirements are placed on operators, and under what rules they will operate. You can review the government draft of the licensing terms on the Ministry of Digital Transformation’s website without using links.
“The public discussion of the document has already begun. After that, coordination with state authorities and adoption of a resolution. The relaunch of the market will bring tens of millions of hryvnias to the state budget every year,” PlayCity said.
On December 4, 2024, the Verkhovna Rada adopted Law No. 9256-d on strengthening oversight of the gaming market, which envisages the liquidation of the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (KRAIL). On January 4, 2025, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law. On March 21, the government established the state agency PlayCity to replace KRAIL, which will oversee the Ministry of Digital Transformation. On March 25, the Cabinet approved the decision to liquidate KRAIL, and its powers were transferred to PlayCity, headed by Hennadiy Novikov.
According to the Ministry of Digital Transformation, in his previous position Novikov established the process of blocking illegal online casinos: in 2024 alone, more than 4500 such sites were blocked. He also helped conduct checks of gambling organisers for compliance with the law, which resulted in nearly 18 million hryvnias in fines collected.
