D-BOX showcases new Gen 5 Actuators at exclusive sim racing event
D-BOX hosted its first exclusive sim racing summit at the Canada House (Canadian Embassy) in central London on Wednesday 29th June 2022.
A select group of media and influencers were invited to an exclusive preview and trial of D-BOX’s new Gen 5 actuators that will be launched mid-August.
Attendees experienced D-BOX’s unique sim racing technology first-hand, with two simulators on site, provided by D-BOX’s partner Vesaro; one simulator was equipped with 1.5-inch travel Gen 5 actuators, the second equipped with the current Gen 3 6-inch travel actuators.
As part of an opening presentation, D-BOX Vice President, Product and Branding, Stéphane Vidal provided guests with an overview of the company’s history, its current developments and insight into the technology behind the new Gen 5 actuators.
D-BOX ambassador and professional rally driver, Louise Cook was on hand to provide guests with a demonstration of D-BOX’s haptic technology, while Vesaro helped attendees get to grips with the simulators and motion technology when it was their turn behind the wheel.
The new Gen 5 system upgrades will include:
– A single, smaller new processor for all four actuators leading to considerable space gains when mounting the system to any simulator setup and significantly less wiring for the installation.
– Simple RJ45 (ethernet) connectors from each actuator to the processor, making installation much simpler and faster as well as easier manipulation of the system if a modification in actuator setup is required. Space saving is also increased too with much smaller cables.
– The system can now be easily changed between 110V or 230V with a simple switch. This enables a lot more flexibility with a 2-in-1 solution. There are also safety measures in place to prevent errors and damage from occurring if the wrong voltage is selected. Lastly the 230V buyers will benefit from cost savings too.
Stéphane Vidal said: “It was such a wonderful event and we are excited that we were able to give our guests an exclusive sneak preview of the new Gen 5 actuators. It’s a product we’ve been working on for a long time, and we’re looking forward to launching it mid-August. I had the great pleasure of being able to speak to our wonderful guests about the new and exciting technology that we know will be game-changing for sim racers especially. We’re grateful to the Canadian Embassy in London for helping us to host this event, it’s a very beautiful location right at the heart of the city.”
More information on the launch of the G5 product range will be released in the coming months.

Kindred Reports Decline in Revenue from High-risk Players for Q4 2024
![kindred-reports-decline-in-revenue-from-high-risk-players-for-q4-2024](https://recentslotreleases.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/144567-kindred-reports-decline-in-revenue-from-high-risk-players-for-q4-2024.jpg)
Kindred Group has reported decline in its share of revenue from high-risk players for the fourth quarter 2024 at 2.7% (Q3 2024 3.2%). The percentage of detected customers who exhibited improved behaviour after interventions showed an improvement at 92.2% (compared to 87.3% in Q3 2024). This positive trend is mainly the result of stricter measures across key markets, improved internal processes, as well as the exit from non-locally licensed markets as part of to the acquisition by La Française des Jeux (FDJ) in October 2024. This shift reflects Kindred’s broader commitment to maintaining high regulatory standards and fostering safer gambling practices.
“It is pleasing to see the decline in high-risk revenue during the fourth quarter of last year. We know that the share fluctuates between quarters, but the long-term trend is showing a steady decline. We remain dedicated and focused on improving our systems and processes to ensure we offer our customers a safe and fun experience,” Esther Scheepers, Head of Responsible Gambling at Kindred Group, said.
“The increased focus on responsible gambling by regulators and the industry is welcomed. From our end, we see that by combining our expertise with emerging technologies, we can further enhance detection capabilities. We are currently working on our existing detection system in combination with an additional system that will enable us to integrate more robust compliance features and optimize our overall approach to safer gambling. Furthermore, we are exploring opportunities to expand our research efforts, aiming to support data-driven discussions and looking at emerging trends in consumer protection. All these aspects are important to protect the integrity of the licence model and maintain a level playing field,” Esther Scheepers added.

A new survey by the Swedish Gambling Authority has found that three-quarters of Swedes have engaged in money gambling over the past year.
The Public Opinion Survey is the annual survey conducted by the Swedish Gambling Authority to map the gambling habits of Swedes. The survey was conducted in November 2024 in collaboration with the research company Enkätfabriken. A total of just over 1600 respondents participated in the survey.
The survey shows, among other things, that:
• 71% of all Swedes have gambled for money in the past 12 months. The proportion is stable compared to previous surveys.
• 33% of all players play every week, which is unchanged from the previous year.
• 84% of players have participated in lotteries and number games, which remains the most common form of gambling.
• 71% of players answer yes, absolutely or yes, to some extent when asked whether they think gaming companies take responsibility for gambling problems.
• 66% know that it is possible to disconnect from gambling via Spelpaus.se, but awareness is slightly lower among women.
