BettHouse Targets Nationwide Expansion Through New Funding Round

First non-legacy sportsbook to gain US market access will disrupt North America’s sports betting landscape

BettHouse, the disruptive tech start-up that has become the first non-legacy sportsbook to gain market access in the US, has announced a new funding round ahead of its roll-out across the nation.

The Las Vegas-headquartered online sportsbook and mobile app, designed for sports fans who want to feel the buzz of the bleachers when they bet, will debut in Iowa next month, and expand to four states by the end of 2021.

Integrating the industry-leading technology platform from Bet.Works and Simplebet’s micro-betting pricing engine, which uses machine learning and automation to enable every moment of every sporting event to become a betting opportunity, BettHouse will be the go-to brand for millions currently turned off by confusing betting lingo and stale cookie-cutter platforms.  Fans can ‘bet every moment’ throughout the game via innovative AI driven micro wagering data.

Led by a major league executive team, BettHouse is a rare and striking opportunity for investors who want to join a venture that will revolutionize the established order in the world’s most dynamic betting market.

“The conventional sports betting industry is leaving money on the table by requiring an unreasonable level of understanding of traditional sports betting terminology from customers,” said Steve Berman, BettHouse CEO, who has successfully created and launched multiple companies and products in more than 25 years in US sports betting and iGaming.

“From the moment a consumer opens our app they will see and feel the difference. BettHouse is simple, fan-friendly, intuitive, and positioned to speak to a sports fan first. By offering that instant gratification, we will appeal to everyday fans and traditional sports bettors.”

BettHouse’s senior team includes President and Founder Nitin Jain, a visionary who has consistently recognized verticals with exponential growth trends, as well as Michael Blocksberg, Chief Operating Officer, Matt Birnbach, Chief Strategy Officer, and George Burkhardt, Chief Financial Officer.

BettHouse will focus investment on IP development and the pursuit of market access in jurisdictions where sports betting is legalized or where legislation is pending. This includes multiple US states and Canada, where Federal Government-backed legislation to end restrictions on single-event sports wagering is progressing.

President and Founder Nitin Jain commented: “The US betting market is projected to be worth $15bn by 2025, but such projections are based on the current product landscape. BettHouse will focus on the micro-markets, which will expand revenue and handle above traditional offerings via more betting opportunities for customers.”

Tonybet says a player in Laurier-Station, Canada has claimed the “golden card” prize worth $20,000 CAD in the operator’s World Cup Card Collection. The announcement was made Tuesday 21st July 2026.

The World Cup collection featured 51 cards in total, including 48 digital cards representing participating World Cup nations, plus three unique prize cards in bronze, silver and gold. Tonybet said the bronze card—available during the group stage—was previously found by a customer in Saint-Colomban, Canada, while the silver card—available during the knockout rounds up to the quarter-finals—was won by a player in County Kildare, Ireland.

The golden card became available for the semi-final, third-place play-off and final, and has now been claimed, Tonybet said.

Tonybet Head of Product Kiryl Liudvikevich said: “You can plan a campaign down to the last detail, but you can’t plan what the World Cup brings.

“We designed the collection to evolve with the tournament, and every knockout round created new stories we couldn’t have predicted. Seeing players complete their collections and discovering who would uncover each prize was the most rewarding part of the campaign.

“I hope everyone enjoyed the experience for what it was meant to be: a fun addition to the tournament, played responsibly and always within their limits.”

Tonybet said the collection will remain open until 31 July for players who are still completing sets and spending coins, although all grand prizes have been awarded.

Supplier secures AGLC registration and extends its Canadian footprint beyond Ontario, where it has been live since 2022.

Greentube has gone live in Alberta on the day the province opened as a newly regulated iGaming market, marking the supplier’s first launch in the jurisdiction.

The NOVOMATIC Digital Gaming and Entertainment division said it completed regulatory and technical due diligence and secured registration with the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) commission to operate in the province. Alberta becomes only the second Canadian province to regulate iGaming after Ontario, with the new framework replacing the monopoly previously held by Play Alberta.

The Alberta launch builds on Greentube’s existing Canadian footprint. The company has been live in Ontario since 2022 and described the Alberta debut as part of its wider North American expansion strategy.

Greentube said Alberta players will initially have access to a curated set of titles including Piggy Prizes™ Wand of Riches 2™, Rumble Riches™ Haulin’ Gold™ and Firecracker Frenzy™ Money Toad™, as well as Silver Lux Big Win Spinner, Starlight Jackpots™ Captain’s Catch™ and Charming Lady’s Boom™.

David Bolas, Commercial Director at Greentube, said: “Going live in Alberta on the day the market opens is an important step for Greentube and reflects the strong momentum we are seeing in Canada.

“We welcome the opportunity a new jurisdiction offers and look forward to working with locally licensed operators to introduce our established offering to players in Alberta. With a balanced line-up of new releases and proven performers, we are well placed to offer a compelling experience in the province and support our long-term ambitions in the region.”
