What is the crucial challenge to overcome in SimPocalypse?
Player decisions and managerial, leadership skills matter. At least in SimPocalypse.
The world was torn apart by a nuclear war, leaving almost no survivors behind. A few lucky survivors managed to stay alive, now urging to find food, water, and other basic resources to survive the post-apocalyptic world.
A player is set as a leader of a small group of survivors, who tend to stick around the shelters. The group now counts on the player’s skills to overcome the famine and lead the civilization back into a prosperous world, filled with new advancements that can benefit the civilization, while establishing a strong army to expand the reach of the settlement, fighting other groups for extra limited resources and world domination.
What is still coming in Early Access?
Directors of Gamex Studio, said:
“While we are a small team, we have big plans for the game and are giving our all to make it the best game we possibly can. We are focusing on expanding the length of the game while trying to keep it fun and interesting to play at various game stages. Modernizing the UI/UX and work on a complete graphical overhaul of the game while still in Early Access is also one of our big tasks planned in the following months.”
Gamex studio recently released a public RoadMap for players and Press to keep track of the game’s development, updates, and to follow other bigger updates coming out in the next weeks and months. The game is currently available to play for Windows, Linux, but they plan to prepare a build for Mac as well.
The next updates coming out are segmented into a few bigger groups/patches, the first one called ‘Combat Rework’, where they will be updating the graphics, adding new battleground elements, improving the UI/UX on this part of the game. The next planned update is ‘Nuclear’ – which will probably make the biggest difference in players’ eyes, as the whole UI/UX will be updated, with a complete graphical overhaul. They also intend to add Steam achievements, introduce more Quality of Life and Automation features, and rework the Player onboarding process.
But this is still not everything that they plan to develop while in Early Access, as they tend to work also on the ambiance music, extra sound effects, adding a new core “currency” to the game – ‘Civilization points’ while making the game extra interesting with various challenges & Game difficulties.
And the last planned as of now – Mobile adjustments, to be able to possibly offer the game on Mobile somewhere in the future.

Bragg Gaming Group, a leading online gaming technology provider, has confirmed a major cybersecurity incident that compromised its internal IT infrastructure in the early hours of Saturday, August 16, 2025.

Details of the Breach
According to a preliminary forensic analysis by Bragg’s internal security team, the attack was a targeted breach aimed at the company’s internal computer environment. The Institute for Gambling Regulation in Slovakia (IPRHH) has published the country’s first comprehensive report dedicated to illegal gambling. The study, titled The Black Book of Illegal Gambling, was officially presented at Bratislava’s Einpark and is now publicly available online.
The landmark publication explores the structure, mechanisms, and social impact of illegal gambling operations in Slovakia, with a particular focus on unlicensed online platforms. According to the report, these operators bypass national regulations, exploit vulnerable groups, and deprive the state of hundreds of millions of euros annually in lost tax revenue.
Key Findings From the Report
The study is based on a nationally representative survey conducted by IPRHH in cooperation with the Slovak Academy of Sciences. Among the most striking results:

23.7% of players – nearly 296,000 Slovaks – admitted to gambling on unlicensed platforms.

24.1% of players could not determine whether the sites they used were legal.

Younger users and those with lower levels of education were the most likely to engage in illegal gambling.

13.1% of users admitted to gambling illegally because they were listed in the national Register of Excluded Persons (RVO), which should block them from licensed gambling.
“These sites ignore every safeguard that licensed operators must follow,” explained Dávid Lenčéš, Executive Director of IPRHH. “There are no limits, no identity checks, and no protection against addiction. And if you lose money, you have no legal recourse.”
Why Players Choose Illegal Platforms
Survey respondents highlighted several reasons for using unlicensed gambling sites:

Shockingly, only 42.2% of players actively check for a Slovak license, while 43.2% cannot distinguish between legal and illegal gambling advertisements.

The IPRHH warns that illegal gambling costs Slovakia hundreds of millions of euros each year, money that could otherwise support healthcare, education, and addiction prevention programs.
The institute recommends a multi-pronged strategy to combat illegal operators, including:

More effective blocking of unlicensed websites

Stronger cooperation with banks and payment providers to block transactions

A national public awareness campaign

Stable conditions for licensed operators who contribute to the economy
Lenčéš also cautioned against excessive taxation of legal operators:
“If governments dramatically increase taxes on licensed operators, they risk pushing players further into the illegal market. Regulation should protect the public, not unintentionally support criminal ecosystems.”
