Income Access Honoured with Two Bronze Stevie Awards for Women in Business
Income Access, Paysafe’s marketing technology and services provider, has been recognized twice by the 17th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business, the winners of which were announced earlier today. The company won BronzeStevie Awards in categories for Women-Run Workplace of the Year and Female Executive of the Year (Canada), awarded to SVP and General Manager Tara Wilson.
The Stevie Awards, which honour female employees, entrepreneurs and executives across the globe, has now handed Income Access four awards in the last three years, reinforcing its status as a company dedicated to diversity and inclusion at all levels. In 2019, Income Access took home bronze for Women-Run Workplace, while Wilson won silver for Female Executive of the Year (Canada) in 2018.
The last year has seen Income Access further strengthen its leadership position in the iGaming market, driven by a management team largely comprised of accomplished female leaders. This includes senior team members responsible for guiding departments focused on business development, client services, marketing and process management.
This leadership team has been essential in maintaining Income Access’ commitment to delivering quality client support and safeguarding the well-being of its employees in the wake of COVID-19. Over the last several months, Income Access has introduced numerous company-wide initiatives to encourage ongoing communication, remote collaboration and mental well-being.
Wilson has seen the significance of her role increase over this same period, managing a workforce that is primarily operating remotely. Leading by example, she has also volunteered with various organizations, including the SPCA, the Kids for Kids organization through Cedars Hospital and the Weekend to End Breast Cancer. In addition, the last year saw Wilson named as a national ambassador for both the Universal Womens Network and Women’s Executive Network, while also joining Paysafe’s Women’s Network Group and participating in a variety of podcasts, webinars and panel discussions.
The Stevie Awards follow Income Access’ second consecutive EGR B2B Award for ‘Affiliate Software Supplier’ in July, and marking a total of six wins in eight years. Over the last year, Income Access also partnered with several internationally recognized brands such as William Hill U.S., FXCM and Monkey Knife Fight.
Lorenzo Pellegrino, CEO of Skrill, NETELLER, and Income Access at Paysafe, said: “We’re exceptionally proud of Tara and the whole Income Access team for how well they have represented Paysafe and our company values. In a challenging year, this team has continued to exemplify our dedication to diversity, inclusion and strong female leadership.”
Commenting on Income Access’ Stevie Award wins, Wilson said: “I’m extremely proud of how hard our team has worked this past year, strengthening our commitment to the needs of our clients as well as the well-being of our employees. Through the implementation of numerous parity initiatives, we have been able to further promote the growth of our strong female leaders and lay the groundwork for similar opportunities in the future.”

Be #GiftSmart: Scratch the Idea of Gifting Scratch & Win Tickets to Kids
BCLC reminds adults to gift responsibly this holiday season
With the holiday season in full swing, BCLC is reminding British Columbians to gift responsibly and scratch lottery products from their shopping lists for kids.
“Scratch & Win tickets can make great stocking stuffers for the adults in your life, but they’re not for kids,” said Ryan McCarthy, BCLC’s Director of Player Health. “The research shows that children who have early encounters with gambling are four times more likely to develop riskier gambling behaviour as they grow up. While people are out shopping for those last-minute gifts, BCLC wants adults to be aware of the potential risks associated with gifting lottery products to children and to consider safer alternatives.”
While Scratch & Win tickets are among the most common ways kids can be introduced to gambling, children are increasingly exposed to various online forms, such as gambling streams.
“With the convergence of gaming and gambling, youth are becoming more exposed to gambling content in online spaces like streaming sites, where creators are able to live-stream their own gambling, usually while playing online slots and instant games,” said Dr. Luke Clark, Director for Gambling Research at UBC. “Our research at the UBC Centre for Gambling shows that a higher frequency of watching online gambling streams is associated with a more positive attitude towards gambling and a high intention to gamble in the future.”
In B.C., it is illegal to sell lottery products to anyone under the age of 19 and BCLC encourages adults to have conversations with the kids in their lives about the risks associated with gambling.
“Open and honest conversations are crucial when it comes to navigating childhood exposure to gambling,” said McCarthy, who shared the following tips to adults:
- Monitor for gambling-related lifestyle changes. For example, developing a positive attitude towards gambling or a preoccupation with video games or streaming sites.
- Be a positive role model. Exhibit safer gambling behaviour and talk about the risks.
- Limit exposure. Monitor kids’ online activities and discourage engagement with gambling content. Explain how gambling is based on chance.
