Betsson Group Renames Suaposta and Presents a New Betting Platform
The innovative project was conceived in partnership with the Jockey Club of Rio Grande do Sul, qualifying the operator for a leadership position in the country.
Betsson Suaposta is now called Betsson. This is the third and final phase of the rebranding project, which has been coordinated by Betsson Group in partnership with the Jockey Club of Rio Grande do Sul. Betsson’s technical platform, more modern and complete with additional features, and a local customer service team gathering all the necessary expertise, together provide an undisputed betting experience from Brazil to Brazilians.
“We are very excited to present our new platform to the market and to our customers, positioning the Betsson brand in Brazil. We have communicated all phases of this re-branding, with total transparency, to make sure the transition was smooth and giving the community the opportunity to become familiar with Betsson. Although new here in Brazil, Betsson is a world leader in the iGaming market”, explained André Gelfi, founder of Suaposta and now Managing Director of Betsson in Brazil. “In this special moment, we would like to express our gratitude to our partners at the Jockey Club of Rio Grande do Sul, who believed in our vision and supported us to make this project happen in record time”, he completes.
For José Vecchio Filho, president of the Jockey Club of Rio Grande do Sul, it is an honor to be part of Betsson’s growth. “We are proud to be part of this successful journey. It is essential for the Jockey Club Rio Grande do Sul to have a global partner that supports our traditional club and regional gaucho horseracing. We are very confident that together we are well-positioned to become leaders in Brazil, ”he said.
New Betsson platform
With Brazil, Betsson adds yet another market to its scalable platform, where the operator’s proprietary technology offers customers new and exciting features across the board, enhancing the betting experience.
In addition to being able to follow the “Daily Jackpots”, with millionaire prizes at the largest racetracks in the world, users of the platform will now also be able to mark their favorite horses and receive notifications during races. The “General Statistics” feature will provide the bettor with complete performance information on horses, jockeys, and trainers. Another highlight is the “Early Bet”, through which the user will be able to choose and bet in advance on their selected races.
The betting system has also been expanded with the inclusion of Fixed Odds betting. An additional 22 countries with racetracks available for betting have been included, totaling 34 options. As a result, the number of races increases from 90 thousand per year to 220 thousand per year. Finally, it will be possible to place accumulated bets at different racetracks using the “Accumulated Bets” function.
All this and more on the new Betsson platform!

Platipus Secures Ontario Supplier Licence
Platipus Gaming has officially obtained a supplier licence to operate in the province of Ontario, Canada. This licence allows the company to provide gaming content to licensed operators in the province and represents a significant milestone in Platipus’ ongoing focus on regulatory alignment, operational consistency, and responsible product supply.
Importance for Operators
For Ontario-licensed operators, partnering with a licensed supplier like Platipus ensures that content is delivered in line with AGCO requirements. All products are designed and supplied with responsible gambling and player protection in mind, adhering to the technical and operational standards required by the Commission.
Strategic Significance for Platipus Gaming
The Ontario licence is a reflection of Platipus’ compliance-by-design philosophy. Regulatory considerations are integrated early in the development process, rather than being addressed as a final checkpoint. This approach ensures that products, processes, and operational structures are prepared for regulated environments from the outset.
Operating under AGCO also positions Platipus to engage with other regulated markets where Ontario standards are often referenced as benchmarks. The licence supports the company’s long-term goal of maintaining consistent product quality, operational reliability, and responsible content supply across multiple jurisdictions.
