AGS Celebrates Nine Straight Years as a Best and Brightest Company to Work For in the Nation and Atlanta
AGS, a global gaming supplier known for its high-performing slot, table, and interactive products, announced it has been named one of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the Nation and in Atlanta for the ninth consecutive year.
“These awards are more than plaques on a wall—they’re proof of the incredible team we’ve built. Our people are the engine behind everything we do, and the culture we’ve created together continues to be one of the things I’m most proud of,” said AGS President and Chief Executive Officer David Lopez.
Presented by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR), the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For awards are based on an independent research-driven assessment of company practices and employee survey results. Companies are evaluated across a comprehensive set of criteria that reflect the employee experience—spanning areas like compensation and benefits, engagement and retention, civility and inclusion, leadership, communication, and overall workplace well-being. AGS earned high marks for its focus on key areas such as benefits, wellness, community involvement, and workplace creativity—surpassing the Best and Brightest benchmark, which reflects the median score of peer companies in the same market.
“What makes this recognition meaningful is that it’s based on how our employees truly feel. Nine years in a row speaks to the consistency of our values and how deeply embedded they are in how we hire, support, and grow our people,” said Kim Nasuta, AGS Senior Vice President of Human Resources.
AGS’ Metro Atlanta offices—home to many of the company’s R&D, engineering, and operations teams—continues to be a cornerstone of its innovation and culture. The Atlanta-area recognition reflects this local impact, while the national honor acknowledges AGS’ broader commitment to culture across its U.S. footprint, which includes offices and game studios in Las Vegas, Reno, Scottsdale, Austin, and Oklahoma City. In addition, AGS supports a large network of remote sales and field service employees located near customer operations throughout the country—extending its culture of connection and performance well beyond its physical offices. AGS also operates globally with teams located in six countries outside of the US.

Oklahoma Table Games Player Wins $3.6 Million Jackpot on AGS’ Jackpot Hold’em on the STAX Progressive System
A table games player at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma rang in the New Year in the best way, winning a whopping $3.68 million jackpot in an AGS poker derivative. The lucky player, who was enjoying a round of Jackpot Hold’em® on January 2, placed a $5 side bet through the linked STAX® progressive and hit the Royal Flush – Diamonds top progressive, awarding the staggering jackpot of $3,683,560.
The $3.68 million win is the largest progressive jackpot ever won on an AGS table game, as well as at WinStar, marking a historical milestone for both companies. The incredible payout comes from a network of 14 linked STAX progressive Jackpot Hold’em tables, spanning eight casinos in the Chickasaw Nation family of properties throughout Oklahoma, all contributing to the massive top award.
“The goal with our progressives is to create a platform that gives operators the flexibility to offer huge jackpots, like this multi-million-dollar prize,” said John Hemberger, Vice President and General Manager of Tables at AGS. “What makes STAX unique is its ability to have five independent meters, allowing the jackpot to grow faster and larger than with a traditional single meter progressive. It’s incredibly exciting to see our products and a single $5 progressive bet help make these life-changing wins becoming more common at table games.”
“On Friday, Jan. 2 at approximately 8:45 p.m. CT, WinStar World Casino and Resort celebrated a historic moment when a $3.6 million jackpot hit on AGS Jackpot Hold’em in our Vienna table games pit,” said Jack Parkison, President of WinStar World Casino and Resort. “This is the largest jackpot in WinStar history, and we’re thrilled to share this unforgettable win with our guests and team members who help create excitement like this every day.”
Kicking off 2026 strong, the jackpot at WinStar marks the second AGS table games jackpot win of more than $1 million in the first two days of the new year. A lucky guest at Encore Boston Harbor in Everett, Massachusetts, won a record-setting $1,620,355 jackpot on New Year’s Day while playing Royal 9® Baccarat after placing a single side bet also powered by STAX.

Sandia Resort & Casino and AGS Premiere Mariachi Fortunes Trio in New Mexico
AGS partnered with Sandia Resort & Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico to debut its newest slot game family, Mariachi Fortunes Trio
to the market.
On November 1, the property hosted a festive Dia de los Muertos-themed launch celebration inspired by the game’s two energetic themes – Fiesta de los Vivos

The event transformed the casino floor into a spirited celebration with Day of the Dead decor, live mariachi band, confetti cannons and stunning visuals throughout the property, bringing the game’s festive setting to life. VIP guests received themed giveaways and were among the first to experience Mariachi Fortunes Trio. During the VIP free-play event, more than 20 hand-pays were paid out totaling nearly $75,000.
