Arctic Moon –Lock & RespinTM takes players to a frozen landscape full of wild animals but even wilder wins

Players are being taken to a winter wonderland like no other in the latest slot release from the in-demand developer, Live 5. Arctic Moon – Blizzard Lock & RespinTM is set against an icy tundra with the Arora Borealis dancing overhead.

But the reel action takes place on the 5×3 reel, 10 pay line gameboard where frozen symbols slide into play. Players can expect to find polar bears, killer whales, puffins, fishes, walruses, and low-paying K, Q, A and J Royals.

The Polar Bear symbol is Wild and substitutes for all other symbols. The Polar Bear Wild symbols can stack for some truly beastly big-win potential.

But it’s the Ice Spins that players will really want to discover. They are activated when the special Ice Spins symbol lands on reels one, three and five, triggering five Free Spins.

While the Ice Spins play out, a Colossal symbol covers the middle three reels for big win potential that can really break the ice. The five Free Spins can be re-triggered if an Ice Spins symbol lands on the middle reel at any time while the bonus is active.

Players must also keep their eyes out for the biting arctic winds that can blow in when the Lock & Respin feature is triggered. This happens when six or more of the Sun symbols land during the base game.

This sees the reel matrix change to a 5×7 grid, with the outer layer locked and the central 5×3 grid active. Moon symbols then drop and lock into place; creating lines of vertical or horizontal Moons will unlock extra grid space on the outer layer. Each Moon symbol has a Cash Pot or cash value. The reels keep respinning available positions until no new Moon symbols land for three spins in a row.

At the end of the feature, all locked symbol values will pay. There are three cashpot values that can be won – Mini (30x), Major (100x) and Mega (2,500x) and multiple cashpot values can land in the same Lock & Respin bonus round.

The game sits at the high end of the volatility scale and has RTPs of between 92% and 94% with a max win of more than 10,000x the player’s bet.
