Allwyn and Formula 1® celebrate power of community by launching F1® Allwyn Global Community Award

- Brand-new F1® Allwyn Global Community Award will recognise and spotlight community-focused initiatives from across the world of Formula 1, with first winner to be presented at the Formula 1® Heineken Dutch Grand Prix 2025.
- Allwyn to donate €100,000 to each winning initiative at four races this season.
LUCERNE, Switzerland, June 27, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Allwyn, the multi-national lottery-led entertainment company, and Formula 1 have today announced the launch of the F1® Allwyn Global Community Award. For the first time ever, community-focused initiatives across the world of Formula 1 will be spotlighted and celebrated on a global stage to showcase their positive impact on society. As well as global recognition, winning initiatives will each receive a €100,000 donation from Allwyn to further transform communities around the world.
Winners must demonstrate a meaningful contribution to society away from the racetrack, which could include advancements in education, culture, wellbeing or sustainability. For each race, the local promoter will identify Formula 1-linked community initiatives such as those run by teams, partners and media, which have had an impact in their country. A panel of three judges from Allwyn, Formula 1 and a local representative will agree the winner, who, in addition to the donation, will receive a trophy and a chance to visit a Formula 1 Grand Prix.
The creation of the F1® Allwyn Global Community Award is part of the multi-year partnership between Formula 1 and Allwyn, reflecting a shared commitment to driving positive change and giving back to the communities in which they operate. The first recipient will be presented with the F1® Allwyn Global Community Award ahead of the Formula 1® Heineken Dutch Grand Prix on 31 August. Three additional winners will be chosen later this season, recognising local initiatives at the home of Formula 1 races in the US (Austin and Las Vegas) and Mexico.
Allwyn’s ambition is to extend the Award to cover more races in the 2026 season and further celebrate projects which make a meaningful difference.
Robert Chvátal, Group CEO of Allwyn said: “Championing positive community impact is at the heart of what we do at Allwyn. Our partnership with Formula 1 is the perfect chance to demonstrate our commitment to communities through the creation of this inspiring F1® Allwyn Global Community Award, supporting the very best community initiatives around the world and bringing them to a huge global audience.”
Stefano Domenicali, President & CEO of Formula 1 said: “It is a pillar of our sport to leave a positive legacy where we race and for many years, we’ve worked with the promoters and regional organisations to do just that, from inviting children from local schools to the track to encourage them to consider a role in motorsport, through to funding education initiatives and welcoming local community outlets and charities to be part of the event. Every year 24 incredible venues open their doors to host us, and we are met with fantastic passion and love at the track and throughout the entire city, so I am very proud to launch the F1® Allwyn Global Community Award as part of our mission. We will give the local initiatives that go the extra mile for making their communities and make the world a better place the recognition and global platform they deserve.”
The F1® Allwyn Global Community Award will be presented at the following Grands Prix in 2025:
- Formula 1® Heineken Dutch Grand Prix 2025 – 29 – 31 August 2025
- Formula 1® MSC Cruises USA Grand Prix 2025 – 17- 19 October 2025

Allwyn Partners with 0xCollection to Bring Refik Anadol’s Dvořák Dreams to the US

Allwyn, a leading multi-national lottery operator, announced its support of the U.S. premiere of Dvořák Dreams, an immersive, A.I.-generated digital exhibition by renowned artist Refik Anadol. This is the second year Allwyn has sponsored the international tour of this exhibition, underpinning its commitment to supporting the arts and innovative cultural initiatives across the globe. Allwyn’s support means the exhibition is free for the public to experience.
The exhibition will take place from September 4 to 24, 2024, on the REACH Plaza at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC. Dvořák Dreams will complement a range of festivities as part of the five-year anniversary of REACH, the Kennedy Center’s first campus expansion.
Dvořák Dreams, commissioned by the 0xCollection, transforms Antonín Dvořák’s musical legacy into dynamic visualisations – using Refik Anadol’s signature algorithms trained on Dvořák’s original data, music and records – that invite audiences to engage with his works through a groundbreaking artistic lens. The artwork sits at the intersection of art and technology, to create a striking and dynamic experience that transcends traditional artistic mediums.
Katarína Kohlmayer, member of Allwyn’s Board of Directors, commented: “Art has an unparalleled ability to foster connection and collaboration by transcending boundaries, sparking creativity and fostering cultural exchange. Just like our lotteries, art makes it possible for groundbreaking innovations to reach a global audience, bringing people together.”
Wayne Pickup, CEO of Allwyn North America, added: “We are delighted to share this extraordinary exhibition with the US. As a leading operator, supplier and business partner to lotteries around the world, Allwyn brings game innovation to players – just as Refik Anadol is breaking new ground in the world of digital art. This collaboration between Allwyn and the Kennedy Center reflects our mutual commitment to building a community where innovation and creativity thrive.”

Camelot Illinois Rebrands as Allwyn North America

Allwyn, a leading multi-national lottery operator, announced that Camelot Illinois has been rebranded as Allwyn North America. The rebranding of Camelot Illinois forms part of the continued integration of the Camelot Lotteries Solutions group of companies – which includes Camelot Illinois – into the Allwyn family, following the acquisition earlier this year. As part of this, Camelot Lotteries Solutions has been rebranded as Allwyn Lotteries Solutions.
Allwyn has a strong industry presence in Europe, and a growing presence in North America, with ambitions to further invest in the North American market. This rebrand will support Allwyn achieving greater brand recognition in North America for its focus on value to customers and communities.
No changes have been made to the Allwyn North American management team, its business focus, products or services since the acquisition by Allwyn.
Robert Chvátal, CEO of Allwyn Group, said: “North America is an important market for Allwyn, where we see strong potential for future growth. Our entry into the North America builds upon Allwyn’s strong track record of successfully operating lotteries across Europe, delivering value to our customers, focusing on player protection and growing lottery returns to communities. Camelot Illinois and Allwyn share the same passion for generating more for good causes, and today marks an exciting step in our continued journey to achieve this under the Allwyn brand.”
Wayne Pickup, Allwyn North America Chief Executive, said: “We remain committed to serving our customers, engaging players and growing lottery revenue to benefit the communities they serve. Leveraging the global resources, expertise and talent across the Allwyn group will serve to strengthen the results we help the State of Illinois and all our customers achieve.”
