TEAM VITALITY WINS INTEL EXTREME MASTERS COLOGNE 2024
Today, leading esports club Team Vitality has won the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Cologne 2024 at the LANXESS Arena, becoming the first French team in history to take home the iconic trophy. MVP ZywOo guided the world-class roster to an outstanding victory in Cologne, following commanding displays in the Group Stage and Playoffs, and an unforgettable performance in the Grand Final against NAVI.
SETTING THE STAGE FOR CONTROL UNTIL THE VICTORY
The formidable roster of Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire, Mathieu ‘ZywOo‘ Herbaut, Lotan ‘Spinx’ Giladi, Shahar ‘flameZ’ Shushan’, and William ‘mezii’ Merriman put on a brilliant performance throughout the tournament, beating other top teams. The victory was particularly memorable for players apEX and ZywOo, becoming the first to lift the trophy for France.
A battle for the ages, the Grand Final was a thrilling display of poise and tenacity, with Team Vitality taking the best-of-5 series 3-2. One of the most exciting finals in recent memory saw map 3 go into triple overtime, before Team Vitality secured a decisive 13-9 victory on Inferno to take home the trophy.
TEAM VITALITY CONTINUES TO WRITE ITS LEGEND
The victory in Cologne marks the organisation’s first major tournament title of the year. By beating NAVI on Sunday, Team Vitality clinched first place at IEM Cologne, one of the most prestigious tournaments in the Counter-Strike calendar. It’s an unprecedented feat, never before achieved by a French club or a French player.
Fabien Devide, President of Team Vitality said “This victory highlights the hard work and mental strength of our entire team. It’s even better because it’s historic for French esports and our club. We look forward to building on this momentum for the rest of the year.”
Moving into the latter stages of 2024, this tournament win puts Team Vitality into the driving seat going into major tournaments. With ESL Pro League Season 20 and BLAST Premier: Fall Finals on the horizon, IEM Rio 2024 shortly after and the Perfect World Shanghai Major closing out the year.

Greentube goes wild in the jungle with Gorilla Cash™
Greentube, the NOVOMATIC Digital Gaming and Entertainment division, is stepping into the heart of the jungle with Gorilla Cash
, an action-packed pays-anywhere slot where tumbling reels, collector tokens and free games combine for engaging feature-rich gameplay.
Set amongst the trees is the 6×5 grid, featuring a vibrant cast of jungle animal symbols, including gorillas, tigers, parrots and elephants. Winning combinations are formed by landing at least eight matching symbols anywhere on the reels, while winning symbols disappear to make way for new ones, triggering the tumble mechanic.
At the heart of the game is the dynamic Coin Stack Collector feature. At the start of any base game round, collector positions can be randomly applied across the grid.
When a coin stack lands on a collector position, its value is immediately collected and new symbols cascade into place. If additional instant cash prizes tumble into the same collector position, their values are also collected, allowing the feature to chain together multiple wins in a single round until no more coin values remain on screen.
When four or more scatter symbols land anywhere on the reels, players are awarded 10 free games, with the chance to earn five additional free games whenever four or more scatters appear during the bonus round. Throughout free games, any seeded collector symbols remain locked in place, enhancing win potential.
During the free games feature, coin stacks can also include multiplier symbols, which increase the Coin Stack Multiplier by 1x each time they are collected. This multiplier does not reset between spins and remains active for the entirety of the free spins round. Coin stack values range from 0.25x to 1.5x the bet, while high-value coin stacks can award between 5x and 100x the total bet.
Once no more coins can be gathered, the accumulated coin stack total is multiplied by the final multiplier value.
Richard Ganster, Director of Games Strategy and Games Portfolio Management at Greentube, said: “Gorilla Cash
is designed to deliver constant momentum, with tumbling reels, collector mechanics and escalating multipliers keeping players engaged from start to finish.
“The jungle theme pairs perfectly with the game’s dynamic features, creating a wild and rewarding slot experience.”
