NFL Extends Strategic Partnership with Genius Sports as Exclusive Official Data, Watch & Bet Partner

The National Football League (“NFL”) and Genius Sports Limited have agreed to a multi-year extension of their existing strategic partnership to power the next generation of NFL fan experiences through official data and video distribution. The new extended deal will run through the end of the 2027-28 season. Genius Sports will remain the NFL’s exclusive distributor of real-time, official play-by-play statistics, proprietary Next Gen Stats (“NGS”) data and the NFL’s official sports betting data feed to media companies and sports betting operators globally.

The expansion of this partnership follows the successful launch and integration of official NFL data throughout the sports betting, media and broadcast ecosystem, redefining the way fans engage with the NFL. Today, Genius Sports powers over 98% of the legalized U.S. sports betting market with official NFL data, driving innovations such as player props, micro-betting, same-game parlays and personalized data-driven advertising content. In addition, the NFL’s official NGS data feed has become further embedded within NFL broadcasts through Second Spectrum’s real-time augmentation engine unlocking innovative new ways for fans to enjoy the game with broadcasters and streaming services across the U.S. and internationally.

This extended partnership also includes the exclusive right to distribute official NFL Watch & Bet low latency live game video feeds to sportsbooks internationally. Beginning with the 2023-24 season, Genius Sports and the NFL have reached a multi-year agreement to distribute Watch & Bet in the U.S. and Canada. Genius Sports will leverage its machine learning and live streaming technologies to power enhanced viewing experiences for NFL fans through Watch & Bet, and the development of its augmented live video betting products.

Genius Sports also provides the NFL, as well as several of its member clubs, a suite of interactive fan engagement tools, helping to grow the NFL’s global audience and enhance their understanding of the modern football fan.

Genius Sports has unveiled a new multi-year partnership focused on integrity, technology, and AI with the Pac-12 Conference (“Pac-12”) to enhance the future of legitimate and responsible sports wagering, integrity, fan interaction and revenue generation, as well as performance evaluation in collegiate athletics.

The collaboration strengthens Genius Sports’ position as the backbone of contemporary sports. Under the terms of the agreement, Genius Sports will implement GeniusIQ, its data and AI platform, at all venues for Pac-12 football and men’s and women’s basketball events – establishing a unified, smart framework for data tracking, video capture, real-time analysis, and commercial engagement.

Genius Sports and Pac-12 will work together on various innovations aimed at protecting integrity, enhancing the fan experience, and creating new revenue opportunities.

Permitted wagering and integrity protections

Genius Sports will act as the sole distributor of official data from Pac-12 events to authorized sportsbooks globally. In this position, the firm will implement a new Authorized Gaming Operator (“AGO”) initiative aimed at ensuring the integrity of Pac-12 events and safeguarding student-athletes.

Alongside removing negative and high-risk bet types, the AGO program will enhance transparency, information exchange, and collaboration among the Pac-12, Genius Sports, and authorized sportsbooks, while stopping prohibited bettors from making bets; all aimed at addressing the risk of corruption linked to betting and safeguarding student-athletes.

A fresh age of marketing focused on moments

Genius Sports’ Moment Engine allows brands to launch advertising in real-time during critical moments in Pac-12 games across broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms, turning live sports data into actionable advertising chances.

For Pac-12 advertisers, this opens up the chance to engage with significant Pac-12 moments that are crucial, immediately, with enhanced accuracy and on a larger scale.

Enhanced performance insights

The collaboration will also aid Pac-12 schools by providing the most cutting-edge performance analysis available worldwide.

Programs will utilize the GeniusIQ-enabled Performance Studio platform, offering coaches and athletes advanced analytics and video tools employed by most NBA and WNBA teams.

Genius Sports, via its exclusive partnership with the European Leagues, owns the rights to collect and commercialize official data from the Allsvenskan and Superettan competitions, collaborating with licensed sportsbooks around the world. Genius Sports has announced a direct integration between its official Moment Engine and Magnite, the largest independent sell-side advertising platform.

The integration embeds Genius Sports’ verified, real-time sports signals directly into Magnite’s ClearLine platform for curation and activation. Through this integration, official in-game moments can be activated across premium CTV and digital inventory transacted through Magnite.

As live sports remain one of the few environments delivering mass, simultaneous attention, the ability to synchronise advertising and game action redefines how live sports inventory is authenticated, executed and measured.

The partnership reinforces Genius Sports’ role as the control layer connecting official league data, fan identity and intent data, and advertising execution, to efficiently and effectively monetize fans.

Genius Sports’ Moment Engine identifies meaningful in-game events as they occur and converts them into verified advertising signals that activate natively as Deals within the Magnite platform. Powered exclusively by official league data and enriched by the Genius Fan Graph of more than 250 million US consumers, the system pairs authenticated sports moments with deterministic fan identity.

During March Madness, for example, a decisive late-game scoring moment captured through official NCAA data is instantly converted into an authenticated advertising trigger inside ClearLine. That trigger activates a pre-configured Deal aligned to relevant fan audiences across premium CTV inventory, within seconds.

Because the signal is derived from official league data rather than delayed or probabilistic feeds, advertisers gain scalable, real-time access to peak engagement windows within their existing programmatic media buying workflows.

By synchronising authenticated league data with deterministic fan identity inside scaled SSP infrastructure, Genius Sports shifts live sports advertising from contextual approximation to authenticated execution. The result is greater precision and increased value for premium inventory.

These real-time signals complement Magnite’s made-for-live-streaming capabilities, including Live Scheduler, the industry’s first standardized framework to plan, activate, and measure live CTV advertising. By embedding official sports triggers directly within ClearLine, advertisers can align messaging with the pace of the game without relying on external overlays or inferred data sources, delivering differentiated access to premium live sports environments.

The solution is expected to be available in time for the 2026 NCAA Division I men’s and women’s basketball tournaments, providing brands scaled access to authenticated live sports signals during one of the most valuable advertising windows of the year.

Upon closing of the previously announced acquisition of Legend, Genius Sports will expand the Moment Engine with additional fan audiences and engagement signals from Legend’s digital sports and gaming media network. Combined, these capabilities will help brands and media owners activate around live moments with measurable outcomes, supporting participation-driven monetization across the fan journey.
