Latest News

Pragmatic Play, a leading content provider to the iGaming industry, is set to appear and speak at this year’s Brazilian iGaming Summit. Taking place across five days from June 14-18, the event sees iGaming and sports betting professionals gather at Sа̃o Paulo’s Transamerica Expo Centre for Brazil’s leading industry exhibition.

Pollard Banknote Limited has congratulated the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) on the launch of Ticket to Ride, the lottery industry’s first-ever instant ticket based on Days of Wonder’s Ticket to Ride, an acclaimed board game in which players compete to claim routes, connect cities and build the longest rail line.

Rede Loto has become the first licensed betting operator in Brazil via a contract with the State Lottery of Rio de Janeiro (Loterj). The five-year deal with Loterj covers points of sale such as retail outlets and sports bars at a cost of a R$5m (€948,978/$1m) license fee and a 5% tax on gross gaming revenue.

Newsweek announced their annual rankings for the Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplaces list, and Mohegan was ranked 85. The 2023 Global Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces is the newest list in the Most Loved Workplace developed in collaboration with the Best Practice Institute (BPI), a leadership development and benchmark research company.

ClutchBet, America’s newest mobile-first online sportsbook, has officially launched in Colorado, right in time for new players to be enjoying a wager on the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup Finals. Coloradans 21 years and older can now download the new ClutchBet app, or visit ClutchBet.com, to place bets on thousands of professional and collegiate sporting events, staged both domestically and around the world.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has announced that they have received their 20,000th voluntary request to be excluded from entering and being a part of gaming activities in casinos across the state. The Casino Self-Exclusion Programme was established in 2006 and permits a person to request if they want to be banned from entering and gambling at a Pennsylvania casino or a retail sports wagering location for either one year, five years or a lifetime.

Partnerships

Flutter Entertainment has joined forces with online gaming industry leaders to launch the Quebec Online Gaming Coalition (QOGC), an industry-led organisation committed to actively working with the Quebec government and local stakeholders to develop a new regulatory framework for the online gaming industry.

Mexico’s National Professional Basketball League (LNPB) announced the extension of a multi-year agreement with Sportradar. The deal initiated in 2020 was extended in 2023 and includes the LNBP and LNBP Women’s League competitions.

Cashless payments innovator Koin Payments has announced a partnership with Northern Nevada’s Baldini’s Casino – making it the first property in Northern Nevada to introduce a flexible cashless wagering experience.

Comtrade Gaming announced that it will supply its gCore technology (RGS) to “10 Ten Gaming LLC,” a new game development company based in California looking to target both social and real money gambling. The deal will see 10 Ten Gaming have its own version of Comtrade Gaming’s RGS hosted in the cloud.

The Downtown Vegas Alliance has partnered with the City of Las Vegas to host a Successes & Insights Community Forum focused on the state of downtown gaming and hospitality.

The public event will take place on Wednesday, March 18 at the Las Vegas Civic Center, bringing together key leaders from the city’s gaming and hospitality industry to discuss growth, challenges and future opportunities in downtown Las Vegas.

Event Overview

The forum will begin with welcome remarks from Shelley Berkley, Mayor of Las Vegas. The discussion panel will be moderated by Andrew Woods of the UNLV Center for Business and Economic Research.

AGS, the global gaming supplier, teamed up with Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel in Southern California to host a two-day launch celebration for its newest slot family, Ultra Werewolf.

The event kicked off on Wednesday, March 4, with special guests Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes, reprising their iconic roles as Jay and Silent Bob from the 90s cult classics Clerks, Mallrats, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Smith and Mewes were the first to experience the game and shared their impressions during a live recording of their SMPodcast, “Jay & Silent Bob Do Yaamava’.”

The fang-tastic festivities continued the following day with an unveiling celebration attended by Yaamava’ Resort & Casino and AGS representatives, culminating in an exciting slot pull for Club Serrano Members.

Guests were immersed in a comic book–inspired world, featuring a life-sized Werewolf, two werewolf “hunters” from the game, interactive photo opportunities, and custom werewolf-themed slot chair covers. The VIP reception offered themed mocktails, wolf-ear headbands, and free spins on Ultra Werewolf Fury and Ultra Werewolf Strike. Four lucky participants who played the Ultra Werewolf games were entered into a draw for $1,000 in Free Play, with one lucky winner receiving $5,000 in Free Play.
