Esports portfolio company X1 Esports and Entertainment has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire digital influencer management company Tyrus Talent Services.
Casino officials for Elk Grove’s Sky River Casino have announced that the casino is set to open in early September, two months ahead of schedule. Casino officials did not specify a date in their announcement, but work on the 100,000-square-foot casino west of Highway 99 near Kammerer Road is nearly complete as hiring continues.
Caesars Entertainment has received a top score on this year’s Disability Equality Index (DEI), a joint initiative of the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and DisabilityIN. Up from 80 on last year’s index, the company received a 100, marking it as one of the best places to work for disability inclusion.
Las Vegas Sands Corp has reported financial results for the quarter ended 30 June 2022. Net revenue was $1.05 billion, compared to $1.17 billion in the prior year quarter. Operating loss was $147 million, compared to $139 million in the prior year quarter.
FanDuel Casino has chosen Mischief @ No Fixed Address as its creative agency of record. Mischief is responsible for creative duties pertaining to FanDuel Casino.
FanDuel Group is expanding its online casino offerings through the introduction of its first-ever FanDuel-branded live dealer studios in Michigan and Pennsylvania in partnership with Evolution. All of FanDuel’s live dealer games, including blackjack and roulette will now be streamed for Michigan and Pennsylvania customers directly from FanDuel’s live dealer studios.

PointsBet Canada has confirmed that it will continue to support curling in Canada, agreeing to a long-term partnership with Curling Canada and the newly formed Team Bottcher. The agreement will see PointsBet Canada become the official Team Bottcher sports betting partner.
ScoreBreak has announced a new, ground-breaking agreement with Genius Sports, the exclusive distributor of official NCAA data. ScoreBreak solutions, which can be delivered to the bench, sidelines, locker-room and the booth, will be powered by official NCAA game statistics across multiple sports.
U.S. Integrity has announced a comprehensive partnership with Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment, which on February 11, 2022, launched their mobile sportsbook operation.
Jackpocket, the leading third-party app in the US to provide a secure way to order official state lottery tickets, and the New York Mets announced Jackpocket as the Official Digital Lottery Partner of the Mets.
New Appointments
Betsson has announced Zé Roberto as its newest brand ambassador. The Brazilian former football player, who has a successful career worldwide, signed a three-year global contract with all brands in Betsson Group’s portfolio.
Jackpocket has appointed iGaming veteran John Worthington as the company’s first-ever VP of Interactive Gaming.
FanDuel Group has announced two appointments reflecting each executive’s contributions to the success of the business. Effective immediately, Christian Genetski has been promoted to the role of President, FanDuel Group and Mike Raffensperger has been named to the newly created position of Chief Commercial Officer.
Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has appointed Ginnie Hollis as Director of Engineering. Previously, she served as Senior Manager of Engineering.

Play’n GO announces network-wide US release of hit title Colt Lightning Firestorm
Eagerly anticipated release now confirmed following a highly successful exclusivity period with Rush Street Interactive
Play’n GO has today announced the official US release of its hit title Colt Lightning Firestorm, following a three-week period of exclusivity with Rush Street Interactive brands BetRivers and SugarHouse.
Colt Lightning Firestorm was released in Europe and other jurisdictions in May 2024, and its release in the US comes with much fanfare following the game’s rave reviews in its short exclusivity period. The game is a sequel to the wildly popular Colt Lightning game which was released early last year, and indications at this stage suggest that this sequel may prove even more successful.
This announcement sees Colt Lightning Firestorm available to players in each state and operator with whom Play’n GO is licensed. Play’n GO first entered the online casino market in the US in 2022, and has reiterated its commitment to becoming active in every regulated market around the world.
Magnus Olsson, Chief Commercial Officer at Play’n GO said: “We’re excited to unveil Colt Lightning Firestorm to the wider online casino gaming community in the US, and have been very pleased to see its strong performance during its exclusivity period with Rush Street Interactive. BLAST to Bring Top-Tier Esports Events to Singapore in 2024 and 2025
Esports entertainment company BLAST has announced plans to host two popular esports events in Singapore in 2024 and 2025.
BLAST will bring both world-class Counter-Strike and Dota 2 tournaments to the heart of Southeast Asia, marking a major step in Singapore’s emergence as an esports and gaming hub. Supported by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), these high-profile events will bring the world’s best esports teams and players from all across the world to compete in Singapore.
BLAST has teamed up with AEG Presents Asia, one of the world’s largest live entertainment entities to bring these events to Singapore. The partnership forms part of BLAST’s ambition to create the best esports experiences by working closely with premier destinations and the biggest and best live entertainment partners.
More than half of global esports views (57%) are estimated to come from the Asia Pacific region, 47% more than any other region in the world with the global market valued at $1.6 billion.
By bringing the top-tier Counter-Strike and Dota 2 tournaments to Singapore, BLAST aims
to attract global esports talent, foster local growth, and elevate Singapore’s status as a destination for world-class esports entertainment.

The World Final 2024 will take place from 30th October – 3rd November and will be the first BLAST event to take place in Singapore, followed by the BLAST Dota Slam in 2025. The World Final will be the biggest Counter-Strike event to take place in Singapore, where the world’s best eight Counter-Strike teams will compete for a massive prize pool of $1,000,000 and the chance to claim bragging rights as the best team around.
Qualified World Final teams: NAVI, Team Spirit, Team Vitality, FaZe Clan and G2 Esports.
