Altenar celebrates multiple wins at the 2022 MIGEA Awards
Market-leading supplier continues to be recognised for outstanding contribution to gaming industry
Altenar, the leading sportsbook and iGaming software provider, has secured an impressive double award win at the Malta iGaming Excellence Awards (MiGEAs) 2022, as it continues with its hugely impressive global expansion.
The MiGEAs, now in its seventh year, was held at the Intercontinental Hotel in St. Julian’s on the 24th June, and is dedicated to acknowledging the Maltese gaming industry’s very best – with a range of categories to recognise innovation and operational excellence.
Celebrated as one of the industry’s most accredited sportsbook providers, Altenar took home the prestigious honours of ‘Best Gaming Mark of Excellence’ and ‘Best Gaming Online Betting Platform of The Year’, seeing off the competition in what were highly competitive categories.
Altenar’s MiGEA success further highlights the UKGC-licensed supplier’s continued ability to prove itself as one of the most stable and flexible platforms on the market.
Now live across multiple key jurisdictions with notable successes with a proven track record in many European and American countries, the judges were particularly impressed with the provider’s record-breaking growth.
In total, Altenar recorded a surge in 150% for total bets and player count over the past year, with its key specialisations across Esports, data and virtuals proving to be a major boost for its operator partners.
Commenting on the award win, Dinos Stranomitis, COO at Altenar said: “Another successful awards night for the Altenar team, the credit really has to go to every single individual that works so hard to make our company one of the best in the industry.
“As we continue to grow as a company these are the moments where we can look at how far we have come. We had an incredibly successful growth period in the 2021 financial year with record-breaking results. Now with multiple new products and services, including one of the most advanced sports betting solutions available on the market, we’re confident that we’ll be celebrating even more soon enough.”
Altenar has established itself as the multi-channel sportsbook provider of choice for multiple leading operators across global regulated markets.
Founded in 2011 with more than a decade of experience, the company’s UKGC-licensed sportsbook and iGaming platform has a proven track record of outstanding success across multiple European and American jurisdictions.

The affiliate management platform takes the title in Madrid during the AffPapa Conference, following a SiGMA South America win earlier in 2026.
ReferOn has been named “Affiliate System of the Year” at the AffPapa iGaming Awards 2026 in Madrid, with the award announced during the AffPapa Conference.
The company said the win recognizes ReferOn’s growth and product development in affiliate management, including efforts to simplify multi-brand tracking and campaign reporting.
ReferOn pointed to recent product additions including its “Refie” visual UX layer and an automated crypto finance layer, which it said are designed to reduce manual administration and spreadsheet-driven workflows.
Alex Bukin, CEO at ReferOn, said: “This recognition belongs entirely to our team, whose passion drives our growth every single day. Our mission with ReferOn has always been disruptive: we don’t want to be another tool in the stack; we want to revolutionize how affiliate programs operate by making data transparent, accurate, and incredibly easy to manage. Winning this award confirms that giving teams their time back through better tracking is exactly what the market needs. With strong momentum behind us, our future expansion plans will continue to elevate the industry standard.”
