Abelson Info agrees Campeonato Carioca coverage expansion with Betfair

Abelson Info is extending its Goalscorer Pricing & Settlement (GPS) service to cover all matches for the upcoming Rio state championship to complement Betfair’s support of the tournament.

Abelson Info is pleased to have agreed a deal to provide goalscorer pricing, via its GPS feed, to enhance the Flutter-owned brand’s offering on the recently rebranded ‘Cariocão Betfair’

Abelson Odds, the pricing division of Abelson Info, is broadening its product offering to encompass full coverage of Brazil’s most famous state competition. It all starts with Boavista SC hosting Botafogo RJ on Tuesday night, culminating with a grand final in early April; Betfair will now be able to offer player markets for all matches.

Abelson Odds Head of Compilation, Jeevan Jeyaratnam, welcomed the news, “We are delighted to be able to help our friends at Betfair maximise their sponsorship of the Carioca. Our South American coverage has expanded greatly in the last twelve months. In addition to Brazil (Serie A & Serie B) we have also picked up the Argentinian, Colombian, and soon to come, Chilean, first tier goalscorers.”

The Campeonato Carioca marks the beginning of the footballing year for big guns, Flamengo, Fluminense, Vasco and Botafogo. With three straight titles, the Mengão from the Maracana remain the standard bearers for this competition and are firm favourites to add championship number thirty-eight to their palmares.
