SOFTSWISS Shares Top 5 Retention Trends

Player retention remains an essential priority for operators aiming to maintain a competitive edge in the evolving iGaming industry. With over 15 years of expertise, leading tech provider SOFTSWISS reveals how a strategic blend of responsible gambling practices and advanced analytics helps to retain players.
The award-winning SOFTSWISS Managed Services has years of experience supporting over 180 brands with First Line and VIP Player Support, Anti-Fraud Support, Player Retention and Reactivation, and Content Management Services. Apart from the buzzword “gamification”, SOFTSWISS experts share the top five valuable trends in player retention that help keep players engaged.
Real-Time Analytics & AI-Driven Personalisation
Operators leverage AI, machine learning, and real-time data analytics to enhance player engagement and retention. By analysing player behaviour, AI enables the creation of personalised offers and promotions, enriching the gaming experience and fostering loyalty.
Additionally, real-time analytics allows operators to continuously monitor player activity, facilitating immediate responses to player needs. This proactive approach helps identify at-risk players early and deploy targeted interventions to prevent churn, ensuring a more dynamic and engaging gaming environment.
Loyalty Programs with VIP Focus
A well-designed loyalty program fosters long-term player retention by offering exclusive perks and incentives that make high-value players feel appreciated. Recognising player loyalty allows operators to reduce churn and encourages continued engagement with their projects.
Operators build strong VIP relationships by enhancing player satisfaction. Exclusive experiences, dedicated support, and premium content keep players engaged. A long-term strategy with tailored retention efforts maximises their lifetime value, creating a more immersive experience.
Umberto Facciolla, Head of CRM at SOFTSWISS Managed Services, comments: “Standing out in a competitive market means creating a VIP program that exudes exclusivity and prestige. Providing exceptional benefits and unique experiences gives players a compelling reason to choose and remain loyal to your platform rather than seeking alternatives”.
Safer Gambling
Operators demonstrate a strong commitment to player well-being, fostering trust and loyalty by providing tools that allow players to set limits on deposits, wagers, and session duration. Features such as self-exclusion options and resources for responsible gambling further contribute to creating a safe gaming environment.
This approach not only safeguards players but also strengthens their relationship with the platform. Such a win-win strategy leads to increased engagement and long-term retention.
Seamless Payment Solutions
Providing various secure and convenient payment options enhances the overall player experience, contributing to higher retention rates. Integrating digital wallets and cryptocurrencies, along with streamlined deposit and withdrawal processes, reduces friction and encourages players to remain loyal to the platform.
Community Building and Social Features
Fostering a sense of community through social features, such as in-game chat rooms and forums, enhances player engagement. Building player communities encourages interaction and loyalty as players feel more connected to the platform and each other.
Umberto Facciolla, Head of CRM at SOFTSWISS Managed Services, summarises: “By embracing these trends, operators can develop effective retention strategies that not only keep players engaged but also foster long-term loyalty, ensuring sustained success in a competitive market. A trusted iGaming partner, providing all types of customer support, will definitely make this journey easier.”

BGaming Completes Inaugural TRUE WAYS Online Conference

Rapidly expanding content provider celebrates the success of its first TRUE WAYS Conference
Popular iGaming content provider BGaming recently completed its inaugural TRUE WAYS online conference. The event was held online on June 4th, 2025, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM CET.
TRUE WAYS has been a roaring success for BGaming, exceeding expectations across the board. The event received over 1,500 registrations and had more than 400 external participants, with 47% holding executive roles. Live attendances for the streams varied throughout the event, peaking at between 150 and 200 viewers.
The free and fully accessible virtual event was BGaming’s first foray into the world of conferencing. TRUE WAYS was created to focus on real-world case studies and honest conversations, inviting voices from across the industry to come forward and share their experiences and insights, both positive and negative. The purpose of the event was not just for the speakers to share their own experience, but to emphasize the importance of industry collaboration, one of key principles for BGaming.
Several key speakers provided fascinating insights into the global landscape of the industry. Dmitry Belianin of the Belianin Group highlighted Africa as the next iGaming frontier, citing its massive mobile-first user base and early-stage growth. He pointed to projected 2024 GGR figures: South Africa – $3.5B, Nigeria – $1.1B, and Kenya – $755M. Meanwhile, Sasha Boerma from Split The Pot also focused on Africa, highlighting the need for a localized approacht. To succeed, she urged operators to “go local to grow” — from mobile optimization to cultural immersion through local teams — and emphasized the lasting impact of traditional offline marketing.
Looking at Asia, Ataur Rosul Abeer of Slotegrator identified India, Bangladesh, and Vietnam among major players in the region. He noted that players in these countries prefer simple, engaging formats — particularly sports betting, live games, and crash mechanics. Looking ahead, Ataur pointed to fantasy sports and intuitive, easy-to-grasp game designs as global trends to watch.
BGaming’s CMO, Kate Puteiko, highlighted the importance of building systems for visibility, designing for real-world use cases, and not just focusing on hype, as well as how to think beyond the lobby by offering tools and tracking results. Kate Romanenko, Head of Commercial at Kendoo, shared practical tips on boosting your lobby through leveraging game data. She also highlighted the value of competitive gap analysis and encouraged the use of third-party market research to guide content strategy.
The conference also featured contributions from other industry figures, including Yaroslav Babych (ZM Team), Shahar Attias (Hybrid Interaction), Ivan Bilash (SOFTSWISS), and Marija Hammon (Brand & Marketing Consultant). For those who couldn’t attend or would like to revisit the sessions, all recordings are available by logging in on the conference landing page — your gateway to the brightest iGaming insights.
Marina Ostrovtsova, BGaming CEO, said: “TRUE WAYS was a success for us, and I couldn’t be prouder of everyone involved. The event exceeded all expectations, and the feedback we have received has been extremely positive. As a company, we see great potential in further developing this initiative and collaborating with more voices from across the industry.
“iGaming is in such an exciting place right now, and having a platform where industry experts can come and share their experience is going to benefit everyone. TRUE WAYS provides exactly that, and we are excited to see where this initiative will take us next.”

The inaugural Global Forum on Responsible Gaming and Gambling Policy is part of a three-part series, which will see Play’n GO also take part in the G20 Summit and the United Nations General Assembly later this year.
Play’n GO’s Head of Government Affairs, Shawn Fluharty, will lead a session on the opening day of the G7 Summit in Calgary on June 13th and will engage directly with global leaders, regulators, neuroscientists, and public health experts on the critical intersection of gambling, mental wellness, and policy development.
The company is the only online supplier to be invited to participate at the forum and its presence underscores its unwavering commitment to responsible play and its pioneering role in shaping a sustainable future for the global gaming industry.
The result of the three meetings will be recommendations that will be formally presented through policy channels, helping to define the next generation of international policy on public health, youth protection, innovation, and societal prosperity.
Play’n GO has been a vocal advocate for increased regulation in the online gaming space for many years, recently announcing it will never supply its content portfolio to sweepstakes casinos.
Shawn Fluharty, Head of Government Affairs at Play’n GO, said: “Positioning responsible gaming at the world’s premier policy forums is vital to ensuring regulation keeps pace with rapid innovation and effectively protects consumers.
“As the only online supplier engaging directly at the G7 Forum on Responsible Gaming and Gambling Policy, and soon at the G20 Summit and United Nations General Assembly, Play’n GO’s presence will showcase the critical value of early collaboration with lawmakers and regulators in forging cohesive, global standards.”
