Swintt wanders through a winter wonderland in X-Max The Winner
Popular software provider’s seasonal slot reboot sees players forage for festive treats in a fun bonus round where Xmas present upgrades can lead to huge wins
With the festive season now upon us and the magic of Christmas already thick in the air, sought-after software provider, Swintt, is inviting players to get into the holiday spirit this week with a seasonal reboot of a much-loved Premium slot, X-Max The Winner.
Again starring the insatiable squirrel, Max, the new slot is played out across a 5×3 reel set and features 10 fixed paylines. The original game’s colourful cast of woodland critters also make a welcome return, only this time the woodpecker, blue bird and ladybug symbols are decked out in festive attire, with action taking place in front of a cosy fireplace adorned with hanging stockings.
Boasting a maximum win multiplier of 2,100x the bet, players will need to keep an eye out for special present scatter symbols. Whenever three of these lucky icons appear, free spins will automatically be triggered, but even a single present can randomly launch the bonus and players will also have the option to enter it directly for an additional fee by using the “Buy Feature” button.
However they get there, the bonus round will see players awarded an initial five free spins as Max makes his much-awaited appearance on the reels as a 1×1 symbol. Forget chestnuts roasting on an open fire – now whenever a present symbol appears this plucky squirrel will shuffle around the board to gather it, and when enough presents have been collected, he’ll expand to a greater size.
Whenever this happens, players will receive extra free spins with the added advantage that any coin symbols that land on the spaces Max covers will be now be picked up and awarded as an instant-win prize. As Max can potentially reach a maximum size of 5×5 symbols – covering the entire gameboard – this can obviously lead to huge wins.
David Mann, Chief Executive Officer at Swintt, said: “As Christmas is just around the corner, we thought we’d give Max the squirrel a chance to stockpile some presents ahead of the holiday season in a fun new festive reboot of our much-loved SwinttPremium release, X-Max The Winner.
“Again featuring a bonus round in which Max will shuffle around the board collecting presents and expanding in size to award even more instant-win prizes, the game has all the makings of a Christmas classic and we’re sure it’ll prove a popular addition to all operators’ seasonal slot line-ups. Don’t miss out – join Max and his forest friends for an unforgettable holiday adventure today!”
