Tech and platform supplier continues to establish itself as the go-to provider in Africa with the opening of a brand new facility in Dakar

Honoré Gaming, the leading technology and platform provider to operators serving the fast-growing African market, has opened the doors to a brand new, state-of-the-art office facility in the capital of Senegal, Dakar.

The occasion was marked with a ceremony attended by Honoré Gaming employees as well as members of the senior management team from National Lottery operator, Lonase, with Lonase CEO Mr Lat Diop giving a speech. This was followed by a performance from famous Senegalese singer, Youssou N’Dour.

Honoré Gaming has established itself as the go-to technology partner for land-based and online sportsbook and casino operators in the African region, with a particular focus on French-speaking markets where its operators dominate in the likes of Congo Brazzaville, Chad and of course, Senegal.

The opening of its Dakar office comes at a time when Honoré Gaming continues to focus on French-speaking African markets while expanding into English-speaking African markets and assessing opportunities to deploy its retail and online technology in emerging jurisdictions such as LatAm.

Africa has been on operator radars for a number of years now, but in recent months several tier-one brands have made their move in the region. This has seen a spike in interest from tier-two operators and local betting brands looking to leverage the opportunity on the table.

Honoré Gaming is here to support these brands, and the power players, as they launch their sportsbooks and casinos in each jurisdiction. Its retail and online technologies and platforms allow operators to truly localise and personalise their proposition for each market.

This is crucial to success with player preferences different across the continent and operators having to meet different regulatory requirements in each country they target. Honoré’s solutions have been designed to allow them to do this with ease.

Nigeria’s latest sports betting brand, Betcamp, has officially unveiled Nigerian football legend, Samson Siasia, and renowned broadcaster, Guinness World Record holder and media personality, Mighty George, as brand ambassadors.

The unveiling ceremony was held at the company’s Abuja headquarters and marks another major milestone for the fast-rising sports betting platform, which officially went live on May 25, 2026.

The appointments reflect Betcamp’s commitment to partnering with personalities who embody excellence, credibility, resilience and innovation, while strengthening its connection with sports fans and entertainment audiences across Nigeria.

Samson Siasia remains one of the most accomplished figures in Nigerian football history. As a player, he was part of Nigeria’s historic 1994 Africa Cup of Nations-winning squad and represented the country at its first-ever FIFA World Cup appearance in the US.

He later distinguished himself as a coach, leading Nigeria’s Flying Eagles to the FIFA U-20 World Cup Final in 2005, winning Olympic Silver in Beijing 2008 and Olympic Bronze in Rio 2016.

Mighty George is one of Nigeria’s most celebrated broadcast personalities. A multiple award-winning journalist and presenter, he is the current Guinness World Record holder for the Longest Talk Show and the penultimate recipient of the Nigerian Presenter of the Year Award. Through his work in broadcasting, live events and sports media, he has built a reputation as one of the country’s most engaging and influential media figures.

As part of the partnership, Mighty George will serve as the official host of “Inside The Camp,” a new podcast powered by Betcamp. The platform will feature engaging conversations with sports icons, entertainers, business leaders and influential personalities, offering audiences unique insights into their lives, careers and experiences.

Speaking after the unveiling, Siasia expressed his excitement at joining the Betcamp family.

QTech adds Split The Pot games to boost Africa and LatAm offering

QTech has signed a content deal with Swedish supplier Split The Pot to add new games to its aggregation platform for African and Latin American markets. The agreement was announced on 10 June 2026.

Under the deal, QTech will roll out Split The Pot’s mobile-optimised “light games”, including Comet Crash Deluxe, Wheel of Fortune and the Zama Big 5 series. The supplier says its titles are designed to support a range of volatility profiles and include “the ability to cashout at every level”.

The companies positioned the partnership around performance in emerging markets where players can face device and connectivity constraints, including lower-spec handsets, limited network access and higher data costs.

Philip Doftvik, QTech’s CEO, said: “Split The Pot offers a welcome breath of fresh air in the sector, especially with their creative cashout functionality working seamlessly even in territories where network connectivity remains a challenge. The games are therefore very well suited for the African markets, in particular, which aligns with our increased focus on the region. Locally adapted content is regularly requested from our clients in Africa, hence we are excited to release Split The Pot’s games to our partners there.”

Playson launches online casino games in Nigeria via BetKing deal

Playson has partnered with KingMakers to launch a selection of its online casino titles in Nigeria through the operator group’s sportsbook and gaming brand, BetKing.

Under the agreement, Playson will distribute a portfolio of games to BetKing players via the EveryMatrix aggregation platform. The supplier said the games have been rebuilt and optimised for African audiences.

First titles live include Coin Strike: Hold and Win, Energy Coins: Hold and Win, and Sevens & Fruits: 20 lines.
