Nevada Casino Collectibles Club Announces New Logo for Inaugural Public Show
In the spirit of old Vegas, the Southern Nevada Casino Collectibles Club (SNCCC) introduces a new logo designed to highlight and promote the local casino memorabilia club’s first-ever casino collectibles show. The public is invited to come and enjoy the many artifacts of Las Vegas as it was from 9 am to 5 pm Friday and Saturday September 23rd and 24th at the Gold Coast Casino, California Ballrooms L & K.
Over thirty dealers, most of them local, will be on hand displaying collections of casino chips, tokens, dice, playing cards, slot cards and slot glass, room keys, advertising items – all kinds of casino souvenirs – both common and rare. Add to your collection or bring your collections to the show for an on-site expert evaluation.
Also on display will be the current Guinness World Record of the largest private personal collection of casino chips and gaming tokens from different casinos – 2,222 items – achieved by Las Vegas resident and SNCCC member Gregg Fisher.
“Show visitors will see so many examples of what Vegas used to be like when comps were king, and casinos branded everything in sight. They wanted their customers to take home these special items as valued reminders of the great time they had. Now so many are hard to find. The SNCCC is a club with over 200 members who love to collect casino souvenirs, and also love to share these artifacts and the stories behind them. We are very proud to be hosting our first show, and invite everyone to attend and, if interested, join the fun of our club and attend our free monthly meetings,” said Jerry Vergatos, club president.
Plans are in the works to have several celebrities on hand for a meet and greet session, as well as an auction of collectible casino chips.
The SNCCC Casino Collectibles Show registration and admission is open to the public September 23 and 24. Admission is $5 per day and includes a free goody bag. Location is California Ballroom L & K at the Gold Coast Hotel & Casino, 4000 West Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, Nevada. Show details are posted at www.snccc.club.
