Casino Del Sol In Arizona To Offer Sports Betting Powered By Scientific Games’ OpenSports™ Platform
Solution rolled out across two venues as part of new partnership
Scientific Games Corporation has signed an agreement to deploy its full OpenSports platform solution with Casino Del Sol, an enterprise of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, in Tucson, Arizona.
The tribal casino has selected the industry’s leading sports betting technology from Scientific Games to power its first ever sportsbook, SolSports. Wagering on sporting events will be available at a retail sportsbook on site at Casino Del Sol, as well as self-service sports betting kiosks located throughout the casino and at its sister property, Casino of the Sun.
Casino Del Sol and Casino of the Sun will gain access to the full sports betting offering combining the performance of the OpenBet, the full risk and liability management service powered by Don Best Sports.
The two casinos will allow players to place wagers on the wide range of sports betting markets offered by OpenSports, while providing the operators with a platform that has a proud history of performing at the highest levels during the biggest sporting events across the globe.
The partnership is the latest addition to Scientific Games’ growing network of tribal customers across North America and the Company’s first market entry into Arizona, following the legalization of sports betting in the state in April 2021.
Kimberly Van Amburg, CEO of Casino Del Sol said:”In launching our first sportsbook, we partnered with Scientific Games due to their technical expertise. The OpenSports solution is a robust and scalable platform that can withstand all the pressures associated with major sporting events, while providing customers with an extensive range of markets. We are confident our guests will enjoy the new SolSports sportsbook and we can’t wait to go live later this year.”
Cathryn Lai, SVP & GM U.S., Digital at Scientific Games said: “Casino Del Sol and Casino of the Sun have both worked tirelessly to become leading casinos in Arizona and we are sure this new partnership can go from strength to strength in the newly regulated state.
“We believe Arizona’s sports betting market will grow rapidly in size and we look forward to providing customers with a first-class offering.”

Platipus Gaming secures Ontario supplier licence
Platipus Gaming has obtained a supplier licence in Ontario, Canada, clearing the company to provide gaming content to licensed operators in the province.
The licence brings Platipus under the oversight and technical standards required in Ontario, with the company positioning the approval as part of its broader focus on regulatory alignment and responsible product supply.
A spokesperson from the Legal Department commented:
“We are pleased to receive our supplier licence in Ontario and to make our gaming content and solutions available. Following a comprehensive application process, we can now formally present this achievement as part of our regulated market presence.”
Viktoriia Andreasen, Head of Marketing, added:
“Ontario stands out as a well-structured and highly organised jurisdiction. It represents an important regulated market with strong operational standards”.
The company said the approval supports its “compliance-by-design” approach, where regulatory requirements are integrated early in product development, and that operating under Ontario’s framework can help support entry into other regulated markets that reference Ontario standards.
