Stakelogic acquires Hurricane Games
Studio completes second acquisition in as many weeks as part of efforts to enhance and grow its in-house development capabilities
Stakelogic, the developer behind some of this year’s hottest classic slots and video slots, has continued its recent acquisition spree by announcing its takeover of rising star studio, Hurricane Games.
The strategic acquisition comes just days after Stakelogic acquired Belgrade-based Smart&Applied as part of efforts to enhance and grow its in-house game development capacity. Following the takeover, Smart&Applied was rebranded to Stakelogic Serbia.
The acquisition of Hurricane Games further strengthens Stakelogic’s development capacity. The developer had been working closely with Hurricane Games and its team via its Greenlogic® development partner program, making it an ideal acquisition target for the fast-growing provider.
The Hurricane Games team will be retained post-acquisition and will be given creative and technical freedom to design and develop games while also being supported by Stakelogic and its team of designers, developers, marketers, mathematicians, etc.
Stephan van den Oetelaar, CEO of Stakelogic, said: “The acquisition of Hurricane Games takes our in-house development capabilities to the next level, allowing us to grow at pace while also delivering new, exciting content to our operator partners on a regular basis.”
“Hurricane Games was one of the first studios to join our Greenlogic® Program, so we have plenty of experience working with its team of incredible talent to create games that stand out in operator lobbies and deliver a superior player experience.”
“I’d like to welcome Hurricane Games to the Stakelogic family and look forward to seeing some truly special slots leave our production line over the coming months and years.”
Andrew Fraser, Director at Hurricane Games, said: “Stakelogic has been instrumental in our rise to date and I am thrilled to further strengthen the relationship between both studios via this acquisition.”
“We have some incredible concepts in the pipeline and now that we are part of the Stakelogic family have the resources to bring them to life and deliver the best possible player experience across all of our titles.”
Stakelogic is responsible for some of the most popular online casino content in the market with its games now live across more than 500 operators around the world. Last year it released 48 classic slots and video slots, many of which can be found in the top position of the casino game lobby.
The developer is ISO 27001 certified, and its games are certified in key markets including the UK, Malta and Romania.

What Does a Win Feel Like? WinSpirit Is Trying to Find Out
As competition among online casino operators increasingly centers on bonus size and game catalogs, WinSpirit is testing a different kind of engagement. The company has launched Euphoria Lab, a project built around an unusual premise for the industry: asking players not about payouts, but about feelings.
Players are invited to share the emotions, memories, and scents they connect with winning. Some describe it as the smell of rain before a summer storm, others mention morning coffee, sea breeze, or the charge in the air right before a result is announced.
The initiative sits within WinSpirit’s summer campaign, but its ambition reaches beyond typical promotions or gameplay mechanics. Euphoria Lab turns attention to the emotional side of play — the moments that stay with players long after a session ends.
Every response collected becomes part of a larger creative project WinSpirit intends to unveil later this year. The company has kept the details under wraps, saying only that the concept moves in a direction rarely seen in the online casino space.
Rather than the usual focus on numbers, odds, or promotions, Euphoria Lab asks a simpler question: not what a win pays out, but what it feels like.
The project is live now, with players across several markets already contributing their answers — a growing, community-shaped experiment with no fixed endpoint yet.
