BMM Testlabs, the world’s original gaming test lab renowned for exceptional product compliance and certification services, today announced its support of STEM education for Tribal students with a paid summer internship program powered through BMM’s Next Generation Initiative and the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES).

This partnership between BMM and AISES promotes opportunities for indigenous students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programs to work in an independent gaming laboratory and receive hands-on experience alongside BMM’s team of expert test engineers. It is part of BMM’s Next Generation initiative, which supports youth and young adults through partnerships with non-profit organizations focused on advancing educational opportunities and improving public health.

Travis Foley, BMM’s Chief Government and Regulatory Officer, said, “We have supported AISES through a summer internship program now for several years, and we have found it to be a great experience for BMM and for the students. We’re focused on investing in Tribal gaming’s future, and our AISES interns are an important part of that commitment. We hope the real-world experience they get and the new skills they learn at BMM paves the way for potential career opportunities and instills a greater appreciation for STEM professions.”

BMM’s 2024 summer intern Daniel Gallardo, a descendant of the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana, who is pursuing an undergraduate degree from Crown College in Minnesota, said, ” I am drawn to BMM’s mission and manner of testing, which ensures the integrity and fairness of the game. BMM’s testing process and the use of the BOAT online approval system resonates with my long-term career aspirations of working for my tribe in the gaming industry. I am enthusiastic about contributing to BMM and am eager for the experience to learn more from the team and expand my skills.”

Wendy Anderson, CEO of RG24seven Virtual Training, said, “We are proud to present three new courses about product testing and compliance in conjunction with BMM Testlabs. Our courses are developed in collaboration with subject matter experts, and when it comes to testing and compliance, few organizations can match the expertise of BMM Testlabs.”

Travis Foley, Chief Government and Regulatory Officer of BMM Testlabs, added, “BMM Testlabs is pleased to present GAT, Journey to a Submission, and Forensic Investigations on RG24seven Virtual Training’s platform. In Forensic Investigations, we cover investigations on the casino floor and the importance of a thorough forensic action plan. In Journey to a Submission, we follow the journey of a gaming product from its manufacturer to the testing lab before its ultimate approval for use on the casino floor.”

Anderson concluded, “RG24seven Virtual Training provides an easily accessible platform for learners to explore important topics. Learners can easily access knowledge on compliance standards, forensic methodologies and other techniques tailored for gaming machines. We encourage team leaders, casino operators, and regulators to contact us to learn how they can implement these courses for their organizations at no cost with no strings attached.”
