DC Lottery Launches IWG Digital e-Instant Games

Instant Win Gaming (IWG), the leading supplier of digital e-Instant games to NASPL/WLA-member lotteries, congratulates the DC Lottery for its launch of iLottery.

DC Lottery is 24^th NASPL and/or WLA-member to go live with IWG’s award-winning digital e-Instant games and the seventh lottery in the US to do so.

Partnering with the DC Lottery’s existing platform provider Intralot, IWG has locally-deployed its Remote Game Server (RGS) and has delivered the entire launch portfolio of eight games to support the iLottery launch.

Among the games available for DC Lottery players to play are the ever-popular Jungle Tumble, as well as custom, localized game DC Payout. IWG’s custom-made releases, created for specific lotteries have proven to be hugely successful, with players appreciating content that has been personalized for their own respective markets.

Going forward the DC Lottery’s roadmap has IWG providing one new game every two weeks. IWG has established that this pace of releases is optimal for ensuring rapid growth and that fresh content is regularly available to players.

Court Decision Upholds iGaming Ontario’s Model

iGaming Ontario has welcomed the decision of the Ontario Superior Court, which found that iGaming Ontario’s model is consistent with the Criminal Code and that iGaming Ontario is conducting and managing igaming in the province.

“We have always been confident in our model and are pleased that the court has ruled in our favour, and that Ontarians can continue to play with confidence in our regulated igaming market,” said Martha Otton, Executive Director of iGaming Ontario.

“Ontario’s model meets the requirements and contributes to the public good by protecting players, their data and their funds, while helping to fund priority public services in Ontario, and bringing well-paid, high-tech jobs and economic development to Ontario,” Otton added.

In dismissing the application brought forward by the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK), the Superior Court found that iGaming Ontario is the “operating mind” behind Ontario’s competitive igaming market in accordance with the conduct and manage requirements of the Criminal Code.

iGaming Ontario will continue to conduct and manage igaming as it has since the launch of the regulated market on April 4, 2022.
