Piggy Riches Claims Top Position in SlotCatalog Analysis
SlotCatalog, the data-driven intelligence platform for slot games for the iGaming industry, shared some insight via its bi-annual slots popularity sector report entitled the SlotCatalog Awards. The data report reveals the most qualitative, popular, and highly positioned casino game releases during the first half of 2020 by analysing 18,000 slot games, 385 game providers and over 1,800 online casinos across various geographical markets.
A SlotCatalog company spokesperson commented: “The digital casino sector has seen lots of thrills with some awesome games being released by studios to meet the fast-moving demands of players. We currently track game positions in the casinos lobby daily for 40+ different markets and have highlighted the key findings from the UK and Ukraine slots markets.
The methodology of the report scanned some 796 UK casinos, with the 205 most popular casinos selected to be included in the data set and final report. The report includes games that were released between 1st January ‘ and 30th of June, with the Average SlotRank metric based on the games rank between day 30 and day 60 after their release date.
Report highlights suggest classic slots perform well in the UK and it is not a surprise that Red Tiger’s excellent remake of the NetEnt classic Piggy Riches claims the first spot in the UK market. Blueprints 7’s Deluxe based on Reel Time Gaming land-based slot machine SEVENS, proves this point further. The bigger part of the remaining top positions is claimed by Playtech & Playtech Studios which also comes without surprise given their long-time presence and brand awareness.
In the Ukrainian market, which is grabbing a lot of attention due to the market becoming legal again, should be of interest as operators look at their market entry. Play N GO, Pragmatic Play and Red Tiger perform as strongly as they usually are in most markets. The eastern country Ukraine top 10 have their own favourite providers like Booongo, Spinomenal and Endorphina.
The games in the top 10 paint a clear picture of what is enjoyed by the players in Ukraine. Simple grids and a reasonable amount of Betways is what the players’ like. The exception being Red Tiger’s Piggy Riches Megaways that comes in for a position 10 with its 117649 ways to win.
