The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has announced the January 2025 total gaming revenue results.

Casino Win:

Casino Win for the nine casino hotels was $210.1 million for January 2025, reflecting an increase of 2.6% when compared to $204.7 million reported for January 2024.

Internet Gaming Win for the casinos and their partners was $221.6 million for January 2025, reflecting growth of 20.9% when compared to $183.3 million reported for January 2024.

Sports Wagering Gross Revenue:

Sports Wagering Gross Revenue for the casinos, racetracks, and their partners was $122.2 million for January 2025, reflecting a decrease of 28.4% when compared to $170.8 million reported for January 2024.

Total Gaming Revenue:

Total Gaming Revenue for the casinos, racetracks, and their partners was $553.9 million for January 2025, reflecting a 0.9% decrease when compared to $558.7 million reported for January 2024. Total Gross Revenue Taxes were $62.1 million for January 2025.

Michigan iGaming and Sports Betting Operators Report $234.8M in April Revenue

Michigan commercial and tribal operators reported a combined $234.8 million total internet gaming (iGaming) gross receipts and gross sports betting receipts in April. Gross receipts decreased 8.7% compared to last month.

Monthly Gross Receipts

April iGaming gross receipts totaled $192.9 million and gross sports betting receipts totaled $41.9 million. In March, gross sports betting receipts were $215.15 million and gross sports betting receipts were $41.93 million.

Monthly Adjusted Gross Receipts

Combined total iGaming and internet sports betting adjusted gross receipts (AGR) for April were $201.93 million, including $174.16 million from iGaming and $27.77 million from internet sports betting — representing an iGaming decrease of 10.4% and a sports betting increase of 4.1% when compared to last month. Compared to a year ago, in April 2023, iGaming AGR was up by 21.4% and sports betting was up by 13.3%.

Monthly Handle

Total April internet sports betting handle at $399.1 million was down by 16.9% from the $480.4 million handle recorded in March 2024.

Monthly State Taxes/Payments

The operators reported submitting $37.6 million in taxes and payments to the State of Michigan during April, of which:

iGaming taxes and fees = $35.8 million

Monthly City of Detroit Taxes/Payments

The three Detroit casinos reported paying the City of Detroit $9.82 million in wagering taxes and municipal services fees during April, of which:

iGaming taxes and fees = $9.1 million

Internet sports betting taxes and fees = $724,986

PGCB Reports 2.7% Revenue Increase in January 2024 Compared to January 2023

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) reported that the combined total revenue generated from all forms of gaming, along with fantasy contests, during January 2024 was $477,151,563, an increase of 2.72% compared to revenue generated in January 2023.

Sources of gaming revenue regulated by the PGCB include slot machines, table games, internet gaming, sports wagering, fantasy contests, and video gaming terminals (VGTs). The PGCB has posted separate reports for these types of gaming on its website, https://gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov/.

Total tax revenue generated collectively through all forms of gaming and fantasy contests was $195,226,186 during January 2024.

Michigan commercial and tribal operators reported a combined $205.3 million total internet gaming (iGaming) gross receipts and gross sports betting receipts in October. Gross receipts decreased 2.4% compared to September results.

October iGaming gross receipts totaled $160.3 million and gross sports betting receipts totaled $45 million. In September 2023, iGaming gross receipts were $166.4 million and gross sports betting receipts were $44 million.

Combined total iGaming and internet sports betting adjusted gross receipts (AGR) for October were $167.7 million, including $144.2 million from iGaming and $23.5 million from internet sports betting — representing an iGaming decrease of 3.7% and a 25.4% increase for sports betting when compared to September 2023. Compared to October 2022 reported revenues, iGaming AGR was up by 13.9% and sports betting was down by 26.1%.

Total internet sports betting handle at $533 million was up by 16.5% from the $457.7 million handle recorded in September 2023. This is the highest internet sports betting handle to date and the first time the total handle has exceeded $500 million.

The operators reported submitting $31.9 million in taxes and payments to the State of Michigan during October, including:

  • Internet gaming taxes and fees: $30.1 million
  • Internet sports betting taxes and fees: $1.8 million

The three Detroit casinos reported paying the City of Detroit $8.2 million in wagering taxes and municipal services fees during October, including:

  • Internet gaming taxes and fees: $7.5 million
  • Internet sports betting taxes and fees: $663,754

Tribal operators reported making $3.7 million in payments to governing bodies in October.

As of October, a total of 15 commercial and tribal operators have been authorized to launch iGaming and/or internet sports betting. Currently, 14 commercial and tribal operators offer internet sports betting, and 15 operators offer iGaming.
