GAN Sports Risk Management & Trading Solution Receives ISO 27001 Certification
GAN’s Risk Management & Trading Solution – an integral component of GAN Sports, which is the recent winner of the “Rising Star in Sports Betting” award in the SBC North America Awards 2022 – has received the ISO 27001 certification for the “development and maintenance of its core sportsbook platform.”
This achievement validates the compliance of GAN’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) within the scope of “the development and maintenance of GAN Sports Core Sportsbook platform targeting the B2B market” to the highest international information security standards.
“Bringing the best in sports betting technology and essential sportsbook trading capability to the US has remained at the heart of our corporate strategy since November 2020. However, bringing these cutting-edge capabilities to our B2B clients in the US is impossible without equally state-of-the-art information security management in an always-on Internet-enabled world that carries many operational risks. Therefore, GAN is extremely proud to receive the award of our ISO 27001 certification for trading and risk management, and I’ll take the opportunity to congratulate Charles K Onochie, our VP of Information Security, and his global team of specialists,” Dermot S. Smurfit, President and CEO of GAN Limited, said.
Over the last two years, the Company has worked tirelessly to meet the strictest security requirements in the industry. GAN Sports was subjected to a series of rigorous tests by an expert independent third-party auditor to determine the robustness of the ISMS underpinning the platform. The in-depth review found these practices to be of the highest security standards set by the International Organization for Standardization and the International Electrotechnical Commission (ISO/IEC). These efforts culminated in the achievement of the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification. This is a recognition of GAN’s commitment to the highest level of information security management.
“This certification attests to our commitment to keeping the highest security standards and best practices. In addition, it is a testament to the fact that we take the security of our client’s business and customer information seriously, and we are committed to providing the most secure gaming platform in the industry. Our goal is for our clients to sleep easily at night, assured that their business is safe with us,” Charles Onochie, VP of Global Information Security at GAN, said.
“This is a validation of quality. This certificate will support our compliance efforts in the acquisition of new licenses. In addition, it assures our regulators that most of their requirements are already met,” Jan Roos, CTO of GAN, said.
