Allied Esports and NASCAR Announce Gaming Truck Event Tour
Allied Esports and NASCAR announced an event tour that will bring gaming activations to racing fans in 2021.
The Allied Esports Truck, North America’s first and only 18-wheel gaming truck, will make seven stops at NASCAR Cup Series race Midways and Fan Zones starting August 6-8 at Go Bowling at the Glen in Watkins Glen, New York and concluding November 7 at the NASCAR Cup Series Championship in Phoenix, Arizona.
The 80-foot, 35-ton mobile gaming arena, which includes a main stage, caster booth, roof deck, and full production capabilities, will host gameplay featuring Rocket League and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, as well as iRacing on simulators. Participating fans will have the chance to play for prizes and giveaways throughout each weekend activation. On select dates, fans will also have the first opportunity to get their hands on a limited demo of the new NASCAR 21 video game from Motorsport Games.
The Allied Esports Truck made its sporting event debut at the 2018 DAYTONA 500. Since then, the popular mobile competition arena has been a regular attraction at some of the biggest gaming, sports, entertainment, and consumer events, including Super Bowl LIII, CES, DreamHack, WonderCon, KAABOO, E3, VidCon, and Posty Fest.
“The integration of gaming into major sporting events is a family focused, entertaining way to attract new audiences and brands. The Allied Esports Truck shines a spotlight on gamers and the communities they live in, and we are thrilled to partner with NASCAR to bring racing and gaming fans across the country a new race weekend experience,” Jud Hannigan, CEO of Allied Esports, said.
“Gaming has had a massive impact on the world of NASCAR over the past year and a half – to the point where it is now undeniably part of the sport’s DNA in the digital age. With that in mind, as fans across the nation return to our race tracks this summer and fall, we believe it’s crucial that gaming plays a central role in that on-site NASCAR experience – and Allied Esports is helping us accomplish that in a truly unique way,” Nick Rend, managing director of gaming at NASCAR, said.

Media Troopers reports early lift in Alberta after market launch
Media Troopers says it is seeing early signs of increased engagement after the first week of operations in Alberta’s newly regulated online gambling market, which launched on July 13.
The company said it supported marketing campaigns with six partner operators in the first week, and reported a rise in first-time registrations and depositors across its verticals. Media Troopers added that it is rolling out a phased launch strategy and is now onboarding nine additional operators.
“As with every new market, we are implementing in Alberta phased launch that enables us to carefully optimize in real time our advertising channels and marketing campaigns,” said Shmulik Segal, CEO at Media Troopers.
Media Troopers pointed to its established presence in Ontario as a reference point for Alberta’s long-term potential. The company cited iGaming Ontario figures showing total wagers in Ontario peaked at $82.7 billion and total gaming revenue reached $2.9 billion in the 24-25 fiscal year, up 32% and 31% year-over-year, respectively.
“Given the launch corresponded with the final stages of the FIFA World Cup, we are seeing encouraging results so far. However, as with any new market, the real challenge will be sustaining growth after the initial buzz. Still, early signs show promise,” Segal added.

Media Troopers reports early traction in Alberta after regulated market launch
Media Troopers said it is seeing promising early performance after the first week of operations in Alberta’s newly regulated online gambling market, which launched on July 13.
Alberta’s launch makes it Canada’s second competitive regulated market after Ontario, which opened in 2022. Media Troopers said Alberta’s framework creates a new opportunity for operators and suppliers targeting local players through regulated channels.
The company said it supported various marketing campaigns with six partner operators during the market’s first week, reporting increased engagement across verticals, including a rise in first-time registrations and depositors. Media Troopers added that it is taking a gradual approach to launching in the province and is in the process of onboarding nine additional operators.
“As with every new market, we are implementing in Alberta phased launch that enables us to carefully optimize in real time our advertising channels and marketing campaigns,” said Shmulik Segal, CEO at Media Troopers.
Media Troopers pointed to its Ontario experience as a benchmark for Alberta’s potential. According to figures published by iGaming Ontario, total wagers in the province peaked at $82.7 billion while total gaming revenue totaled $2.9 billion for the 24-25 fiscal year, a rise of 32% and 31% year-over-year, respectively. “Given the launch corresponded with the final stages of the FIFA World Cup, we are seeing encouraging results so far. However, as with any new market, the real challenge will be sustaining growth after the initial buzz. Still, early signs show promise,” Segal added.

Tonybet player in Canada claims $20,000 CAD golden World Cup card prize
Tonybet says a player in Laurier-Station, Canada has claimed the “golden card” prize worth $20,000 CAD in the operator’s World Cup Card Collection. The announcement was made Tuesday 21st July 2026.
The World Cup collection featured 51 cards in total, including 48 digital cards representing participating World Cup nations, plus three unique prize cards in bronze, silver and gold. Tonybet said the bronze card—available during the group stage—was previously found by a customer in Saint-Colomban, Canada, while the silver card—available during the knockout rounds up to the quarter-finals—was won by a player in County Kildare, Ireland.
The golden card became available for the semi-final, third-place play-off and final, and has now been claimed, Tonybet said.
Tonybet Head of Product Kiryl Liudvikevich said: “You can plan a campaign down to the last detail, but you can’t plan what the World Cup brings.
“We designed the collection to evolve with the tournament, and every knockout round created new stories we couldn’t have predicted. Seeing players complete their collections and discovering who would uncover each prize was the most rewarding part of the campaign.
“I hope everyone enjoyed the experience for what it was meant to be: a fun addition to the tournament, played responsibly and always within their limits.”
Tonybet said the collection will remain open until 31 July for players who are still completing sets and spending coins, although all grand prizes have been awarded.
