Pocket Gamer Connects Triumphs with its Third Annual Seattle Event
The leading mobile games industry event achieves remarkable success in Seattle this week

Pocket Gamer Connects, the premier mobile games event in the industry, recently concluded its highly successful two-day gaming event in Seattle. The event, held on May 16 and 17 brought together over 700 attendees including industry professionals and enthusiasts from around the globe to celebrate the thriving games industry and connect with others.
Pocket Gamer Connects Seattle showcased the true essence of the gaming industry, attracting participants from 30 countries. The event featured game makers, developers, publishers and 110 influential speakers, creating an invaluable platform for networking, growth and recognition within the mobile games and technology community.
Renowned worldwide, Pocket Gamer Connects is recognized for uniting the brightest minds and visionaries in the gaming industry. This year’s Seattle event attracted top-tier investment funds, angel investors, tool providers and platforms. With 390 participating companies, the event introduced exciting new themes including an AI edition, allowing expert speakers such as Tom Pigott, founder and Chief Executive Officer for Ludo AI, and Riyadh Drebika, the DIrector of Volley, the leading developer of voice AI games to address the hottest current topic worldwide, artificial intelligence (AI).
This year marked the introduction of the Pocket Gamer Connects Career Zone, which involved a unique recruitment fair bringing together ten leading local companies from Seattle such as the Pokemon Company, Big Fish and Shrapnel that provided an excellent platform for job seekers and recruitment companies to engage with some of the industry’s most influential players. Additionally, this year’s event included four roundtable sessions that proved to be a massive hit, creating open forums where attendees could engage directly with experts on hot industry topics, fostering insightful discussions and knowledge sharing.
Pocket Gamer Connects Seattle 2023 once again affirmed its position as a resounding success for the Steel Media brand. Gaming Corps wins conditional Alberta iGaming supplier licence
Gaming Corps has secured a conditional iGaming supplier licence from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC), clearing the company to manufacture and supply gaming software in the province ahead of Alberta’s regulated market launch on 13 July 2026.
The licence was granted through Gaming Corps’ subsidiary, Gaming Corps Malta Ltd. The company said the approval positions it to enter Alberta’s regulated iGaming market from day one.
Alex Lorimer, COO at Gaming Corps said: “Securing our Alberta licence marks another important step in Gaming Corps’ regulated market expansion strategy. Canada continues to represent a key growth region for us, and we’re excited to bring our expanding portfolio of games and unique mechanics to operators and players in Alberta.”
Alberta is set to become Canada’s second regulated open iGaming market after Ontario, with the AGLC overseeing licensing and compliance requirements for operators and suppliers.

Gaming Corps Secures Alberta iGaming Licence Ahead of Market Launch
Gaming Corps has secured a conditional iGaming supplier licence from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC), positioning the studio for launch in Alberta’s regulated market from day one.
Granted through its subsidiary Gaming Corps Malta Ltd, the licence allows the company to manufacture and supply gaming software in the Canadian province ahead of the market opening on 13 July 2026.
With approval now secured, Gaming Corps continues to accelerate its North American expansion strategy while strengthening its position in regulated markets.
The move gives operators in Alberta access to Gaming Corps’ portfolio of casino games and proprietary game mechanics as the province prepares to open its regulated iGaming framework.

CasinoCanada partners with Slota Casino for content and traffic growth
