BetMakers Technology Group announced it has been appointed by AB Trav och Galopp (ATG), Sweden’s national horse racing betting organisation, to distribute ATG’s live racing content and data to wagering operators across Australia and New Zealand.
Under the agreement, BetMakers will make ATG’s nominated Swedish and Danish horse racing available for fixed-odds betting, together with ATG’s live vision signal. The arrangement broadens the international racing product available to operators in the region and deepens BetMakers’ growing library of premium global content.
“BetMakers is incredibly proud to be working with ATG. Their racing is among the best in the world, and we’re focused on getting that content live and available to operators across Australia and New Zealand quickly and reliably. This is a partnership we’ve wanted for a long time, and it’s a genuine pleasure to bring ATG’s product to our customers in the region,” said Martin Tripp, Chief Operating Officer at BetMakers Technology Group.
“We at ATG are incredibly happy to expand our partnership with BetMakers. They help us as a betting company reach more customers with our products and races. We are delighted that we can now together take our Swedish races abroad, primarily to Australia and New Zealand,” Said Petter Johansson, International Business Officer at AB Trav och Galopp (ATG).
The partnership reflects continued demand from operators for differentiated international racing content and reinforces BetMakers’ position as a global racing technology and content provider.

The board of directors of AB Trav och Galopp (ATG) has appointed Anna Romboli as their new CEO. Anna Romboli will take up the position in December 2026.
Anna Romboli most recently came from the role of business area manager for Svenska Spel Tur. She has previously held senior positions at, among others, game developer NetEnt and design and innovation agency Veryday.

She is a leader who combines business acumen with great commitment and customer focus. The board is very pleased that she has accepted the assignment as CEO of ATG,” said Peter Norman, Chairman of the Board of ATG.

Horse Racing Veteran Jörgen Forsberg Named New Interim CEO of Sweden’s ATG
Swedish horse racing betting operator, AB Trav och Galopp (ATG), has named Jörgen Forsberg as its new interim Chief Executive Officer.
The leadership shuffles at the top of ATG were caused by the resignation of former CEO Hasse Lord Skarplöth, who held the role for 13 years.
His notice was handed in at the same time as ATG revealed a stagnating FY25 financial profile, with lower YoY performance across the board. Both Skarplöth and ATG’s Board said at the time that they were parting ways due to conflicting views about the operator’s future.
Skarplöth’s place was immediately taken up by Peter Norman, ATG Chairman, who has been acting as the interim CEO until now, with Forsberg replacing him so that he can fully go back to his chairing duties.
Norman said: “I welcome Jörgen Forsberg to ATG. He will lead the work of implementing the plans decided by the board and be acting CEO until a new CEO is recruited. The recruitment process for a permanent solution is ongoing.”
Forsberg is currently also the CEO of Svensk Travsport, the national governing body of trotting racing. He will perform both roles simultaneously and Ulf Hörnberg, Vice President of Svensk Travsport, will provide support for some of the operational tasks within the organisation, while the process of selecting a new permanent CEO of ATG takes place.
As for his background, Forsberg has previously been Chairman of the Board and CEO of Stockholms Travsällskap, the operator of the harness-racing track in Stockholm. He also boasts regional and international senior leadership experience in the automotive industry.
Forsberg said: “While waiting for a new CEO, I look forward to continuing to develop ATG together with all of ATG’s employees according to the board’s plans and safeguarding the company’s important role for the Swedish horse industry.”
