RubyPlay rolls out in-game Missions and Tournaments engagement tools
RubyPlay has launched a new suite of in-game Engagement Tools—starting with Missions and Tournaments—aimed at helping operators increase session depth and retention through game-level events.
The company said the tools move away from “wallet-level” engagement mechanics common in the market by tying objectives and scoring to events that occur inside the slot experience. Missions lets operators build campaigns where players complete specific in-game objectives in exchange for instant rewards.
Tournaments adds a time-bound competitive layer, with players earning points by triggering in-game events such as high-value symbol landings and feature activations. RubyPlay said both tools are designed to run as a native part of gameplay rather than an external overlay.
Deployment will extend across RubyPlay’s portfolio and its studio ecosystem, including RubyPlay Studio, Koala Games, Mad Hat Games, xSlots and Firerose, with each able to embed Missions and Tournaments in their titles.
Tsachi Maimon, Chief Executive Officer at RubyPlay, said: “When we developed our Engagement Tools, the goal was not to add another promotional layer on top of the game. The goal was to strengthen the game itself.
“Most engagement mechanics in the market are built around wallet activity or broad player behaviour. We wanted to take a different approach by building Missions and Tournaments around real in-game events, the moments players already connect with during the slot experience.
“That creates a more relevant and intuitive journey for players, while giving operators a powerful way to support longer sessions, stronger retention and deeper engagement across RubyPlay’s full content ecosystem.”

DEGEN Studios
DEGEN Studios launches Tomb of Wishes 5×5 cluster pays slot
DEGEN Studios has released Tomb of Wishes, a 5×5 cluster pays slot built around cascading wins, Random Wilds and a three-stage bonus sequence themed around a genie.
In the base game, winning clusters remove symbols from the grid and feed a central counter. As more symbols are cleared, Random Wilds can land to help complete clusters and extend cascades. If a Wild lands without contributing to a win, it self-destructs and removes adjacent symbols to reopen the grid for new cascades.
The bonus triggers after 40 winning symbols have been collected. It progresses through three stages: The First Wish, The Forbidden Wish and The Final Wish, with DEGEN Studios positioning each stage as higher volatility than the last.
In The First Wish, players receive three “charges” that can be used when a spin stalls, detonating selected non-Wild symbols and surrounding positions. The Forbidden Wish introduces four sticky Blue Super Wilds that start at a x1 multiplier and increase when they contribute to a winning cluster, and can also destroy adjacent symbols if no win lands.
The Final Wish adds four Red Super Wilds, each with an independent multiplier that can combine when multiple Wilds land in the same cluster win. DEGEN Studios said the feature set supports a 10,000x maximum win, with the Red Super Wilds moving across available positions after each cascade.
Danny Gordon, Head of Studio at DEGEN Studios, said: “Tomb of Wishes is a fast-paced frenzy of Wilds, explosions and action, but it still gives players a clear sense of progression. You are constantly collecting, triggering, moving deeper and chasing the next stage.
“That is what makes the game exciting. It has that achievable chase built into it, where every cascade can keep the sequence moving and every wish takes players closer to the bigger moments.”

Booming Games
Booming Games launches Berserkin’ Buffalo Power Hit slot
Booming Games has launched Berserkin’ Buffalo Power Hit, a new buffalo-themed slot that adds the supplier’s Power Hit mechanic to its Buffalo Series.
The game uses a 6×4 grid with 4,096 ways to win and a stated maximum win potential of 5,000x. Booming Games said the title is set on a buffalo backdrop and is built around the Power Hit feature.
According to the company, Buffalo Collect symbols can land on reels 1 and 6 to collect Coin Prizes in view, including Mini, Minor, Major and Grand Prize Pots, which “instantly charges up the Power Hit feature.” In the base game, Bonus symbols collect to the Buffalo pot above the reels and can trigger a Berserkin’ Bonus on any spin, while landing 3+ Bonus symbols can award up to nine Berserkin’ Bonus Spins.
Booming Games said the Berserkin’ Bonus free spins run with only the Power Hit feature active and “guaranteeing a win on every spin,” with prize pots “awarding up to 2000x” during the feature. The title also includes a Buy Bonus option priced at 75x, 100x, 150x or 200x the bet for 3, 5, 7 or 9 Berserkin’ Bonus spins, and a Boost+ toggle designed to increase feature chances.
Craig Asling, Director of Games at Booming Games, said: “Berserkin’ Buffalo Power Hit is packed with innovative bonus features that we’re confident will be a hit among players. Our Buffalo games have been among our best performers, and we are delighted to be adding a new game to the Series. The all-new Power Hit feature is the latest example of our commitment to delivering an ultimate gameplay experience that provides high-stakes thrills. Play Berserkin’ Buffalo Power Hit now!”

Microgaming rolls out Link & Merge mechanic with three-slot launch on 29 April
Microgaming is launching a new slot mechanic, Link & Merge, on 29 April via the simultaneous release of three titles: Almighty Zeus Wilds Link&Merge, Lucky Twins Wilds Link&Merge and 123 Soccer Link&Merge.
The Link&Merge feature is positioned as a variation on Hold & Spin-style gameplay. When five or more adjacent Coin symbols land, they link and merge into a single higher-value symbol. The merge then triggers one of three bonus outcomes: Jackpot, Multiply or Spread, with the potential for additional Coin symbols to land and create further merges.
Microgaming is pairing the mechanic with three themes at launch: Almighty Zeus Wilds Link&Merge, Lucky Twins Wilds Link&Merge and 123 Soccer Link&Merge. The supplier said each title uses the Link&Merge bonus within a shared core framework that includes cluster wins, Wild Meter progression, Free Spins and Multiplier Trail functionality.
A Microgaming spokesperson said: “Link&Merge gives us a mechanic with real forward momentum. Each merge has the potential to change the shape of the feature, open up new opportunities and keep the round moving in a way that feels both familiar and fresh. By launching three games around it simultaneously, we are able to give the mechanic a much bigger stage from day one and show the range it can bring to the Microgaming portfolio.”
