Maya’s Treasure Slot Review
Ready to go on an adventure through the lush jungle? The Maya’s Treasure slot by Expanse Studios was just launched exclusively on Meridianbet and we can say that it’s the real deal. Thanks to breath-taking graphics and amazing audio-visual effects paired with adventurous gameplay, the slot machine may end up one of the best in the Maltese studio’s portfolio.
In this slot, you will join Maya the adventurer on the search for a major treasure in ancient ruins that resemble the mythical city of El Dorado. The Maya’s Treasure online slot has 5 reels with 3 symbols in each as well as 20 active pay lines. You form wins traditionally by matching at least three symbols on adjacent reels.
A cool slot that resembles Gonzo’s Quest and other adventure-themed slot games, Expanse Studio truly hit the jackpot with this one.
Maya’s Treasure Theme
As mentioned, Maya’s Treasure is an adventure-themed slot. These games have been popular in the industry for quite a long time and players are still excited by them. That’s no wonder – adventures in ancient ruins with chests of gold to hit are among everyone’s biggest desires.
This time, you won’t be heading into the dense jungle on your own. You will join Maya the archaeologist who’s just as eager to find the hidden treasure in the Mayan jungle herself.
How to Win in the Maya’s Treasure Slot
Winning in the Maya’s Treasure slot machine is not hard at all. The game makes use of the so-called Tumbling Reels technique which replaces winning symbols on the reels as soon as you score. To win, you’ll need at least three on adjacent reels.
The reels themselves are populated by columns that feature shiny gems or Mayan symbols. Maya herself is the game’s wild that substitutes for all other symbols except for the scatter. The latter triggers the game’s free spins round and comes in the form of a decorated column with a green gem embedded in the middle.
In terms of high-paying symbols, the column reliefs with faces pay the most. You can earn up to 2,500 coins for five on a line. The base game also comes with two special features attached to it. The first one is the torrent multiplier which starts at x1 and rises with each successful Tumbling Reels win. It starts with x1, rises to x2 on the second, x3 on the third, and x10 on the fourth tumble and beyond.
If you manage to land three scatters anywhere on the reels, you will get 15 exciting free spins.
Maya’s Treasure Slot Bonus Round and Special Features
The free spins round is made even more exciting thanks to the x30, x40, and x50 multipliers splashed on the reels. During this round, every time you land three scatters, each of the multipliers goes up by x3 until the end of the free games round.
If you land four, the multiplier rises by x4. When you land the maximum of five scatters, all multipliers go up by x5. At the same time, three scatters on the reels during the free spins round also give you five more free spins.
If you get truly lucky during this round, multipliers can reach up to x100 and bring you one step closer to the top reward worth 2,500 times your stake.
Maya’s Treasure Slot Machine RTP and Max Payout
The Maya’s Treasure slot comes with an RTP of 95.09%. That’s a bit lower than the industry average, but thanks to the multipliers, that’s not too much of a problem.
Expanse Studios is still to determine the slot’s volatility. From what we could notice during our playthrough, it’s between medium and high variance.
Graphics & Sounds
We’re already used to seeing perfect Expanse Studios slots and Maya’s Treasure is no exception. The game looks great with crisp-clear graphics, especially when it comes to Maya on the left side. The animated 3D model is reminiscent of Lara Croft’s best days, so when it comes to graphics, the Maya’s Treasure slot gets a perfect 10.
The visuals are paired with excellent sound effects too and a nice tiki-sounding soundtrack in the background.
Maya’s Treasure Online Slot Verdict
Maya’s Treasure is yet another home run for Expanse Studio. The small developer is constantly breaking new ground with every new release, and this slot is the perfect example of it.
It looks and feels great and the gameplay is fun too. Don’t let the low RTP fool you – it’s still a great slot with plenty to offer.
You can try Maya’s Treasure’s tumbling reels for real money at Meridianbet online casino and join the adventure yourself. Trust us – it’s going to be worth it.

Kindred’s Share of Revenue from High-risk Players Shows Slight Increase
Kindred Group plc’s (Kindred) share of revenue from high-risk players showed a slight increase to 3.2% (Q4 2023 3.1%) in the first quarter of 2024. Compared to the first quarter of 2023, the high-risk revenue share decreased marginally. The percentage of detected customers who exhibited improved behaviour after interventions came in at 87.1% (compared to 87.4% in Q4 2023 and 83.0% in Q1 2023). This sustained trajectory in the improvement effect after interventions, observed over an extended period, serves as a testament to the strong dedication and collective efforts throughout the company. It reflects Kindred’s ongoing commitment to fostering positive change within the industry.
“We continue to see our share of revenue from high-risk players fluctuate quarter to quarter, and we are working closely with all teams across the company to support customers towards a more sustainable gambling experience. However, it is encouraging to see that our Journey towards Zero data has steadily decreased since 2020. A similar trend can be seen across the healthier gambling behaviour effect after interventions. This tells us two things: our work is paying off, but we need to continue to push ourselves to propel a sustainable progression,” Alexander Westrell, Director of Communications at Kindred Group, said.
“It was very encouraging to witness the open and transparent discussions at the Sustainable Gambling Conference in London on 20 March, where those with lived experience shared their important stories. Also, it is evident that technology is moving forward, and will provide greater opportunities to detect and intervene in the future. We hope to see more regulators engage with the industry and with experts to secure a more sustainable industry for everyone,” Alexander Westrell added.
